hello again, well they are a week in the buckets now, and a mixed bag to be honest. the widow xxl is out growing the criticals.
to be honest, if i had chopped my other room a few weeks bak these criticals wouldnt be in here at all. the photo version s , critical+2 it threw out more seeds than one of Keenos mega giveaways, but withoout the smiles.
baaastaaads. ANyway i will be closely watching these ones. ive added a 250 watt HPS in the tent, just to keep the temps up a bit.Image
the cuts arent looking too clever at all, they need potting up, but thats a job for Nanook, im just keeping one or two of them, hes gonna murder, er look after the others. Image

heres the view through the tent shaped window. widow bottom left, runtus bottom right, the others are criticalsImage

widow xxlImage

3 criticals, not looking great, but they will come good, im sure.
im using the H&G hydro roots axcellerator this run, noticed zero point zero difference so far, so thats 50 quid well spent .....not.ImageImage

magic numbers are 0.7ec, and 5.7 ph.

Just wondering about the white buckets.
I'm just doing my first bubbler at the moment.
When I was researching everyone said to use black.
Is this more tinternet bollocks?

yeah, pretty much.
As long as the light cant pass through them you will be fine, they can be any colour you like.
if you hold the bucket up and shine a torch through it in a dark room , and can see through it, then get some black ones. ive been using these for years and they dont leak light through them, so the colour is immaterials imho. white also keeps the nutrients cooler by reflecting the light / heat back upwards, so its a winner winner, chicken kebab dinner

black buckets work too, but i preffer the lids on these with the hinge, much easier for checking ec/ph and topping up

That makes sense.
I use a Wilma as well and you notice the tank getting warm.
I've just got one in the Bubbler and it's dying to flower.
It's in a 10 litre bucket at the moment. Will I need to move to a bigger bucket for flower?

i would, 10 litres is pretty small for dwc, most of the shop bought ones are 15 or 20 litres, but the bigger the better, it keeps the nutrient more stable, and you dont have to top up twice a day...

Funnily enough I've just found the bottom half of a swing bin in the shed.
Just waiting on my Green cube to be delivered and we're in business. Thanks Billy

well its 10 or so days in now, i need to change out the water in them,- thats tomorrows job.
they look like it needs changed anyway. the widow is still in the lead, but the criticals are catching up. the widow xxl looks really indica dominant so far, a good thing in my book. the criticals are the same as the photo version, with those lime green leaves, never getting dark no matter how much nitrogen they get. its ok, even the runt is getting its act together. widow first, then criticalsImageImageImageImage

temps were high when i checked 10 minutes ago, at 30 degrees. i might even manage to take the HPS off, and just leave the LEDs.

Nooks cuts, well, all i said was "your going to see uncle Nanook , who will look after you", and then this.....dont laugh...i reckon they have comitted hari kiri rather than suffer a slow painful death in the hands of Nanooker.lol
Might have been when i spilled the ph down in thier general direction, ahem.....i did spray the leaves to try get it off, in my defence.......er.......sorry Nanook.

could have been worse, it could have been my plants eh?

whew......
