Thank Mini-G-Star, hopefully the plants make it into the tent sometime soon.
I have nearly finished the software now so another week and I should be good to go (automation wise) although the more the plant grows the more I just want to fuse over it myself ;o)

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Thank you Point 5,
trust me it doesn't always go to same 'plan' as I had 'originally' imagined...
I tried out the water recirculating system again (will I never learn!) and there was a 'small leak' between the reservoir and the new plumped in 'water adjustment' pipes:-
So thinking "OK, not a problem", I will just drain the res and sort that out, so I promptly pressed the 'DRAIN' button on my mobile phone and the drain pumps in both pots and the one in the reservoir promptly drained into the loft, and is currently still making it's way down around the upper parts of my ceilings!!
Basically the drainage pressure from all three pumps draining into my makeshift drainage system, which is basically a 'food recycling container' with a load of holes drilled into it which is plumped into to the main waste stack :-
blew the lid open and sprayed 'a good amount' of water out the top and all over the loft. This as well as the pipe connections not being 100% solid (apparently 'HOT GLUE' is not as good for plumbing as it is for electrics and making cards ;o) makes that test run a TOTAL FAIL. But we move on, ordered silicon sealant from Amazon and gonna 'Mass-Stick' that bitch up and try again.
I'm good with Electrics, and especially with computers, but not so much with Water and they don't play nice together when you get that relationship wrong. No one died yet, so we progress with the next plan (after I smoke a 'j' and make one)...
And I thought the water cooling PC project was a challenge

Going to quote myself again but I think you will like this:-
Minty wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 10:55 pmFor humidification you can make your own using the 'misters' or just search for 'ultrasonic mister / fogger' these are a cheap way to put water into the air.
I have my DIY humidifier basically fill up when needed, based on a water float valve, and it contains 3x misters and a PC fan to give me a 2 speed humidifier remotely controlled via the 'Minty Hydro' automation. I can even set when it comes on etc based on the current humidity etc.
Here is a crazy video showing the initial construction / testing:-
That was of course before it was put into the container (shown here at the top / next to the camera): -
The de-humidification is however much harder and besides looking at Peltier cooling, I just purchased one.
Besides my setup there are some cheap USB devices you just stick in a glass/bottle of water and they mist like a mofo, for short term solutions these would help:-

Make sure to sand that plastic down a bit, the sealant will stick betterMinty wrote:Thank you Point 5,

plastic-weld works awesome btw, in case the silicone doesn't hold

That looks so futuristic, bet it would look nice seeing a mist roll across your plants
Annoying about the water leak but you win some you lose some, at least it didn’t fry the electronics
How long have you spent making this so far?

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Go on Minty
Your build is amazing mate love the tech you have put in Also by the way the link to that app you sent me works fine for measuring lux and is a good indicator on grow light brightness i think
Have tested the app in the sun and the readings were what they should be an also tryed it on another grow light and the readings once agian were very close so i think the app works fine
Not every one has multi meters or clamp meters or watt meters so i will rubber stamp the app as good to use for light setups
thanks for your recommendation on that minty
Your a scholar my friend

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Started building it in January and yea, the electrics are fine, mostly just my pride that got damaged ;o)
I still haven't had a chance to test mine yet but I will. The testing Migrow did with the app looked legit and like you say anything is better than nothing.

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Day 19 and the Easy Bud looks like it's possible has a deficiency of somesort?

I would guess it is Calcium or Magnesium so should I be increasing the amount of CalMag? or should I just see how it plays out with the new growth?

The Royal Dwarf seems to have picked up now:-
