Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Also, do I still need to ph my tap water with ph down until it gets in the 6.0-7.0 range or is it good to go with some CaMg+ in it? Do I even need to worry about ph’ing my mix after I add in the Fox Farm trio or is that unnecessary with soil and this water?

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Don't PH, 6-7 is fine. It might be a better idea to top dress with some garden lime rather than adding the camg+ with your chosen style of growing. That will also help regulate the PH :) standing for an hour is sufficient as most out-gassing has occured by then and the temp will be in range too. So to be clear about my recommendation is.
1) use your municipal water
2) top dress garden lime if possible. If not, add camg at 1ml per litre of water
3) don't PH your water.

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
PS 1gallon is 4ltr. If you're going to use the calmag+ you should actually be adding 5ml per gallon.

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
No problem TryingToLearn11, it looks like you've caught them with the epsom salts early enough so they are looking OK. I wouldn't recommend spraying more than once every two weeks and spraying later in flower can cause botrytis to appear. Good luck buddy!TryingToLearn11 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 12:22 amThanks!grumpygrower wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 12:14 amDon't PH, 6-7 is fine. Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Gave them another feed today. Next time they’re ready I’ll hit them with just tap water I’m thinking. I’m not sure if it should be just tap or tap with CalMag+. Ha. I’m curious what I should be seeing my plants telling me? I know two of these are just lame seeds, but I’m just wondering what things I should be seeing that I’m missing. Are the stems getting purple on me? Are they happy looking and whatnot? Thanks for all of the help!

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
Thanks again to grumpygrower for checking my city’s water for me and letting me know I could just use my tap! Heck of a lot quicker filling up a five gallon jug. Ha.

Re: Malana Bomb Autos Barney’s Farm
No problem TryingToLearn, my pleasure. Lot's of growers go down the RO route but if I'm honest, most really don't need to and create other issues in the process. I have issues all the time down to RO water but it's better than caking all my stuff up with salt :) my water here is so dirty, if you leave a small amount on a plate to evaporate, it leaves a film of salt behind. The tap water here is disgusting lol.TryingToLearn11 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 3:11 pmThanks again to grumpygrower for checking my city’s water for me and letting me know I could just use my tap!
