Re: Mesphito Northern Cheese X Haze
I Think you've done a great job on the Blue Cheese mate well done! Would like to see them more often please If that ain't too cheeky. You canopy looks really dense, as mine last time. This time I've decided to prune a little bit and remove few fan leaves. Not the very top ones but or two couple of nodes down that are blocking the light. The reason is last time I had zero to 0 penetration and binned a lot of stuff...and I must say the plants were lollypoppoed well enough. Just wondered what your thoughts would be on that mate.

Re: Mesphito Northern Cheese X Haze
I Try bulls to keep the stems no higher than 12" above the net. I reckon that is about a 600w hps max penetration when doing a scrog. Every little stem under the net i chop off. i do leave some fan leaves underneath near the net as these are not blocking any budsites and the plant will use them later on in flower. Above the net i only tuck the fan leaves out the way of the bud sites they do bounce back and is abit of pain. I am a little cautious about cutting fan leaves above the net as these are what power the buds. I will watch your Diary with interest mate you can only but try these things.Bulls wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:43 amI Think you've done a great job on the Blue Cheese mate well done! These girls were chopped and dried so the diary is at a end. Not much i can say about these other than it was abit of a disaster grow. Ended up 6 1/2 oz of bud what was not great but at least something. The smoke is ok nothing to write home about if grown correctly i am sure it would have been much better.
On the bonus side was a simple trim hardly any leaf at all.

Hopefully the blue cheese will be a lot better. Need to lighten these girls up a little. Dropped the ec down to 1.1 made up of 100ml of pk13/14 And ionic bloom.

Another nice one mate. In regards to removing fan leaves, ive never been a fan of that but on my last grow I had a lot of foliage and it was effecting penetration. With great apprehension I removed about a third of them. Those lower buds responded almost immediately to the extra light. I was pleasantly surprised tbf.

I'm like that. I feel I'm taking away their food but removing leaves that are healthy.Hobbit wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 11:43 pmAnother nice one mate. I have trimmed them before though. Only if parts of the leaf is covering a bud. I see it as a sort of compromise. They still have their food, and the buds can have the light.

Re: Mesphito Northern Cheese X Haze
I would NEVER defol mine pmfsl. I think its very strain dependant tbh - Some are so so bushy it needs it for light, others are not so much so it will take away food. Having said that, there should be plenty food from the roots.
