Yes mate everything was going great til the last week. The rockwool cubes tipped over due to the weight of the plants. It ripped the roots from the matting and the plants died within 48hrs

Im starting a new run with the nft (stardawg) . Im going to be using a tight scrogg net this time to help support the plant.

Thats a shame, mine always topple a bit ( this grow included ) but usually they just lift the spreader mat. perhaps using a net setup as low as mine is helps, I did consider making another level for mine so it was a stabiliser, and then a scrog a few inches higher up.

So sorry about yours, hope it doesnt put you off :( The one majoy downfall with NFT is once they are in, if one dies it will mess the tank up for the others :(

I think i might the large 6" cubes next time aswell hopefully they will stabilize it abit better. Im going to scrog this twice one really low down and another higher up

imho 6" be too big - get stem rot - just support em better mate :)

Ok mate il stick with 4" cubes. I did use a scrog net on the grow but was one of them elasticated ones from the hydro shop theres too much play in them. Ive used in with coco in pots before but nft need more support ive found

Have a look at my grow, I use string and hooks. You can use pretty strong string, and when it comes to chop no mucking about, just cut the string :)
