Dear diary...

Fed em at 3ml/L and a splash for luck this morning.

My water is around 8pH today - I think that's what's locking plants out round this end. Full of shit it is.

Grub went in at 6.4pH when mixed with a sprinkle of baking soda (it was sitting at 5.6).

:oik!:
Hey Marcus,

Do you mean your water was at 8 before you gave it to the plants or was that the pH value of the run off?

Newb question I know and I think you only measure run off in coco. Was just wondering was it the batmix?

be careful with GS I think it advises to add that first then add feed to it until desired EC is required. Got a feeling it's very strong. for my coco run i'm going to that as the only booster. it's basically a pk boost with some enzymes added i think.

Hi Tictok.

My tap water is at 8pH today, straight out the metal twisty thing in the bathroom.

I mixed my bloom in and it hit 5.6pH, so I gave it a bit of baking powder (might be bicarb of soda, I;ll have a look later) to get the ph in the 6.5 range.
I should have fed these earlier really so I just wanted to give the soil an easy time biffering itself in the pH zone and stuff. One less job for it to do in my mind. Might not be science, but it can;t hurt. ? :idn:

I only read runoff if I got a problem but I rarely water to run off in soil.
PH and EC i'll look at if a problem, but I probably don;t need to bother. Just a good flush normally sorts them out. I'm not worried about these lot yet, they'll stay green up top where it counts. :oik!:

I grabbed some Green Sensation today from the local thieving growshop. They should really just wear little black masks in there and say "stand and deliver" when you walk in.

ANyway, I'll start giving them a bit at next feed and see how fabulously I can fuck this grow up!

Thanks Marcus, good to know.

Agreed re the grow shops, I've got three local to me and they all would sell their grannies as grow assistants if they could.
