Smokey very nice mate
Feed is dependant mate , there is no schedule. Same plants in different environment might require different feeds. Just start low with basics and slowly build it up :)

At the moment its taking me 1.5 ml A&B and 2ml root stim to get me to 0.9 but thats roughly where i need to be as the plants were starting to look under fed i need to add some liquid silicone to the schedule too see if I can raise ph levels as i still can't get over the 5.9 mark without using any ph down its confusing the hell out of me this water here is basically ro water out the the tap back ground 0.03 doesn't even register on my ec pen. Thoughts guys ?????

Currently mine is 0.4 mate it does vary. At some point I had to use tiny amount of Silicone to bring the pH up. Depends what chemicals they are putting in the water.. Now I need to use lots of pH down Mad stuff.
Yeah just use more silicone mate up to 1ml per L is fine. Bring the EC to 1.0 - 1.1 if needed. Also I'd add calmag at 1 ml per L for 1 or 2 feeds

Thats the thing Bulls out the tap isn't 0.3 but its 0.03 so less than 0.1

So do you think adding calmag to the res will be more beneficial than applying as a foliar feed ? I don't have any Silicone atm I thought it was to be used in flower ?

Hi Smokey,

What EC meter you using dude?

I've had running battles with a bluelab truncheon, but they need a bit of a smack on the arse to work proper.

I've also discovered that my ph pen is 0.5 out even after calibration. Things dry up with time on these meters and they need a bit of TLC to read proper.
Currently using BlueLab EC & Ph Pen i keep them in good nick and calibrate once a month mate. I did check with my local water supplier and even there predicted stats are 0.03 background when i check my water out the tap the ec pen reads 0.0 And I have not been able to use the ph pen at the mo because the feeds are dropping my ph to about 5.9, confusing the life out of me

Thats amazing actually Marcus because I'm upto 1.5ml now in 10l and its bringing me to 0.9 ec with the 2ml per l roots stim. See i keep my ph pen in the storage solution however i don't with my ec pen, why ? I just simply never have what would you advise pal

Thank you so much for your advice here its the last bit of the jigsaw i need to complete but essentially the most important too so greatly appreciated mate really is

Mon the chamois : ) See i don't have a res as such i knock my feeds up daily an hour or so before feed i do have a water butt up there waiting to be used but i need a res heater as the water stays very very cold this is something i need to sort out payday i'd rather knock up weekly batches tbf i imagine it keeps things way more consistent from day to day,

I like to mix my ferts up weekly and let the ph drift, saves them getting hit at the same ph every day and if, as it seems with my pen, that ph is wrong then as it drifts the old 'stopped clock is right twice a day' adage comes into play!

Yip I do the same, the PH drift is important for my growing to ensure that all the different absorption bands have their boxes ticked.
any recommendations on res heaters gentlemen ??
