Re: AO & EXO IN COCO
So where to start with this update.
Lets just say what a nightmare this has turned out to be. I sprayed the girls with the garlic chilli mix and it knock the mites back but as we know with mites you need to use different pesticides or they soon build up a immunity to them. So i went out brought some Westland Resolva Bug Killer what contains
Lambda-cyhalothrin and gave them a good drenching. To cut a long story short out of 9 plants i have 4 left. Always test it first is the moto to this story. This stuff can remain active upto 2 weeks so can not introduce predatory mites yet.
In the mean time the plants i had left i thought i need to make them healthy quickly to build up their own natural resistance to pests. Oh boy now i have over watered, overfed, and as mites do not like windy conditions also hit them to hard with the fans.
To get these plants right is going to take time now, a underfed plant is always easier to fix than a overfed one.

Re: AO & EXO IN COCO
Been having a horrid time with these girls and have nearly thrown the towel in on them a few times. I was actually going to do it at the w/end but i opened the cupboard to find them praying to light for the first time since rooted as cuttings. With the spider mites and spraying insecticides and most likely a P Def, oh not to mention my timer turning off and on intermittently it has not be fun. Brought a new timer and Bulb and suddenly they were praying to the light renewed hope. Growth has been slow and painful with the plants being sensitive to anything you spray on them including fish oils rapeseed oil and neem. Anyways i am still giving them a go and the biological control is being delivered today 1000 Phytoseiulus predatory mites. Here is a link to help others if they are looking for biological controls in there gardens
https://www.defenders.co.uk You will need to order by midday Thursday To receive the following Tuesday or Wednesday .
A few pics of my plants as they were and are now the purple stems is 100% slowing them down trying to raise the ph atm in the root zone.
Blackening around bulb had me thinking something was wrong.

Re: AO & EXO IN COCO
Hey K,
Bloody growing eh, we all go through problems with this plant, see if you called "K" like us these problems all hit at the same time
.
Tbh man they don't look to tough. I've had some much worse looking plants in my time and these can be turned around fast as you know.
Good shout getting PH up, I know a couple of people have had what look to be feeding issues eith the Exo and have had to do the same. Im sure I've mentioned it and I know Sam is a big fan of it but omina by raw is a really cool additive, it will make certain elements in your feed easier to uptake. I find plants healthier when I use it and they seem to recover quick. Price can be a little off putting but the smallest bag goes a very long way.

Hello kbag.
Fair play to you not throwing the towel on them mate. Look at these beauties now! As you know I wasn't far from doing the same, but they turned corner too! Well done mate, you're a good grower. Can return a dead plant back to the living
