Yeah the plants breath out moisture just like us. It's that proces that drives all plant processes for transportation of nutrients and uptake of water etc

Sweating up as i call it is where there is not enough air movement. The leaves lay idol on each other basically blocking there breathing.If you get air movement through the plants does not have to be strong it will stop this from happening.

Just seen 1 of the fuckers and killed it im guessing there must be more

I’m not an expert but I have had some in my houseplants for ages. I looked a lot into it and the steps I took were to 1. Stop my girlfriend overwatering the plants 2. Put up yellow sticky traps 3. Cover the soil in diatomaceous earth and 4. Spray a mixture of water, neem oil and a bit of dishwashing liquid onto the leafs.

I don’t think a single fungus gnat is a problem, so some sticky traps would help to monitor and if it’s getting worse you can always use more drastic methods.

As I said I am a newbie but I just looked into this so I thought I could share my limited experiences.

EC a bit high at 1.9 but we will see how they react
