Re: a Little bit of Sherbet
Thank you, early days yet but seems to be going ok so far.
I reckon i will have to clean the res every month but it only takes ten mins to strip it out of the system and give it a clean. Next run im going just clay balls and no coco for sure.

Re: a Little bit of Sherbet
Ive heard silver bullet roots is supposed to keep everything in check for healthy roots etc. I used it when mine was going pete tongue and im sure it helped..but will never 100% know.
Two things i need to change for my next run..ensure i have at least 2 inches of clay balls at bottom. Not sure whrther i should dump my circulator in the res. Logicslly it makes sense as the solution will sit their for a number of days and im sure it will separate slightly? As opposed to hand watering where yoire mixing everytime you water.

Re: a Little bit of Sherbet
imho i would defo keep the pump thats circulating the mix, i feel like the mix might start to separate as well but i have no idea if thats a thing or not lol. since adding that and the air pump the res is nice and clean, stable ph and not much muck building up like before.
im going to go full clay next run i think. im liking the Shogun bloom nutes, ph is bang on with adjusting(@2ml a and b = 6.2). I would like to try the GHO stuff but i do have almost full bottles of shogun nutes so may run those till i run low.

Re: a Little bit of Sherbet
See the grow shops will tell you it's not needed, some people say it is and isn't.. I'm in the same boat as you..but I think logic tells us both thar its kind of required to keep it well mixed in. We always mix the solution before hand watering right, so why should.it be any different when the system feeds. Maybe that's why I saw issues and deficiencies. Let see ehh. I'm changing two things on this grow so it will be either the higher level of pebbles or the circulator that makes a difference..if none of these do..then I'm doomed!Hmr81 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 11:04 amimho i would defo keep the pump thats circulating the mix, i feel like the mix might start to separate as well but i have no idea if thats a thing or not lol. since adding that and the air pump the res is nice and clean, stable ph and not much muck building up like before.

Re: a Little bit of Sherbet
I let the pH wander as I'd been lazy and been out all weekend and forgot to do my weekly check so I think that's the cause of the early yellowing. Adjusted today and hopefully she recovers quickly
