I guess i should be asking how to fix or treat root rot before it can occur.... anyone?
Good luck with your new venture, i like to run bleach through my nft system once in a while to try and sterilise it. I do it when the lights are out and leave it in for about an hour before flushing it out and starting again.
Done it in coco but that was run to waste, not sure how well that would work for autopots but doesnt that system have a drainage pipe?
So long as you can drain and flush id go with bleach, works well with no noticeable side effects and saves buying another product

Good luck HMR!

Re the root rot, in the past I've used an organic enzyme product called SLF100 in soil to protect the roots but it's primary function is to clean out hydropoinic systems organically.

Might have a dual use in your system.

@Vador doesn't have a drain off so to speak I don't think but tbh it's all still in the box so time will tell lol.

Yeah when you get to the last pot on the line rather than ending it there you can extend that pipe so you can use it as a drain if that makes sense

Hmr Ive heard of people putting copper pennies in a rez to ward off root rot. Look that up maybe? Otherwise good aeration aeration is your friend as always. And Hydrogen peroxide is a good cleaner

Hydrogen peroxide. We can only get the 12% stuff in the UK.
Unfortunately the stronger stuff is favoured by the bomb making members of the community.
You want food grade not the stuff from the chemist.

Potted up yesterday in some Coco/perlite. Nice two inch long tap root all the way into the Coco and she's certainly spring into action, 24 hours later we have the babe leaves
