Adding medical cannabis to standard analgesic treatment for fibromyalgia: a prospective observational study

Post by FX »

This is a little heavy going but the results are pretty remarkable (although tbh my first reaction was no shit)
https://www.clinexprheumatol.org/abstract.asp?a=14785
Concomitant analgesic treatment was reduced or suspended in 47% of the patients.

That's what annoys be recently. We hear nothing but the data says this or that to drive policy but when the science is there for pain management they just ignore it.

Can honestly say I didn't need the pain killers the hospital gave me the other week. Three or four decent smokes a day keeps the pain down to a manageable level.

The issue in the UK is that people aren't allowed to do the medical testing, mainly I suspect so that they can continue to say there is no medical evidence...
