Summer/Autumn grow - more pheno hunting

Post by biosynthetic »

Hello GR420 :cowby:  :sup:

This grow will be properly starting in july once the main tent is free but until then I'll be getting everything ready and keeping a record here for reference. The plan is a fairly loose one and could change in the meantime.

Taking some cuttings today (18) from my orange pheno hunt grow and putting them in a cupboard under an Optic Phatslim 1 54w LED, one from each plant exept miss orange nectar #3 which has some sort of mutation. I'm planning to also pop some beans sometime in late may, by then the cuttings will have been transplanted into 1/2 litre pots (to keep them small) and I will set up a small tent at that point to accommodate everything.

Depending on how the orange run goes I will be deciding in june/july which cuttings I will either A) keep for mothers, B) discard or C) just use them for this run. If I find any special phenos they will be kept, any undesirable phenos will be killed and any that are good enough to run a second time will join the seedlings in the main tent.

For the pheno hunt the strains include:

Red Red Wine - Perfect Tree
Tropic'ozz - Perfect Tree
Forbidden Nectar - Zmoothies Seeds
Watermelon Wedding Cake - Growers Choice
Cherry Bomb - Bomb Seeds

Got some others that I want to try as well but I'm waiting to see what the orange run is like, I will know more by the time I'm ready to start germinating beans. If there are a lot of good plants that I want to run again, there will be less space for beans so I'm not planning too many atm. :idn: I won't actually know for sure which are keepers until I have tested the orange crop, by then it may be too late to start more beans so there will be some guesswork involved, it won't be easy but hopefully I will end up with 18-21 plants total.

I'll post some pictures once I've got the cuts in the propagator, cheers all peace :thanks: :pass:

Spraying them every few days with clonex, the rest of the time just plain water. They are crammed in there a bit, think they will be fine tho. Once they have roots in 2-3 weeks I will plant them into 1/2 litre pots, and then I can start thinking about popping some beans. Ok cheers everyone peace :barmy: :Stoned: :barmy:

Cheers yeh I've grown a couple of Jet A (Gelato 33 x Tina) crosses and they were fire genetics so I'm wanting to do more, there is another strain that I might do if I have space called Lemon Curd, I've heard its really strong. If I can't fit some in this run I'll save them for the next one. :thanks: :pass:

The cuttings are all rooted and ready to be potted but I've run out of coco and can't get any till friday :oh-shit: I've done 8 of them but the others will have to wait. On friday I'll set up the tent and get them all sorted out, they might get stressed in the meantime but I think they will survive. The equipment list for the early veg will be:

Black Orchid 70x70cm tent
Invisible Sun 20w clone bars x2
5" Black Orchid extractor fan with Viper carbon filter
SwiftAir fan controller
Secret Jardin monkey fan
Small humidifier
1/2l pots with gold label hydrococo 60/40

Still got plenty of time to decide which seeds and how many to pop, once the cuttings are all done I will make a more solid plan. Ok cheers all peace :cowby:

So today I'm gonna germinate some seeds, they are:

Red Red Wine - Perfect Tree x3
Tropic'ozz - Perfect Tree x2
Forbidden Nectar - Zmoothiez Seeds x2
Zombie Kush - Ripper Seeds
Cheesedom - Freedom of Seeds

Just doing 9 atm but when I have some more pots I'll do a few more extra/spare ones. There's no rush so if any don't germinate I have time to do some more, still not sure at all how many I need but first we will see how this goes. The cuttings are all potted up and are now under the clone bars, looking a bit worse for wear but I'm sure they will all pull thru. Just giving them a light feed and stopping them from drying out for now, don't want them to get too far ahead of the seedlings. Ok cheers all
