Two Vanilla Tarts have been moved into the flower room. Both will be lit by FGI Square 3 320w LEDs.

I got a net built for these girls earlier this week. Did a little training. Let them go for a couple of days.





I'm calling it. Time for the flip.
Over the weekend I need to take 3 cutting from each plant for a total of 6 possible clones. I'll choose one or two of those for the next run.
Then, clean up under the net and give them a haircut. Do another round of training then flip the lights.

I'm old, fish emulsion is an old standby for veging. When I saw that Alaska fish fertilizer had a bloom counterpart I said why not. It did ok last round.

As for soil, Fox Farms 6 bags of Happy Frog 4 bags of Ocean Forest. Added coco and perlite to help keep the drainage good then started adding mycorrhizae IMO & LABS.

Thanks for answering my question. I see youre also using fabric pots. How often do you water them to keep them at an acceptable moisture level? Do you use auto watering or by hand? My last grow I think I should have been watering more frequently to keep the soil microbes happier and the soil itself a bit looser. Thanks for posting.

Yes fabric pots. Right now they are taking a gallon and a half every other day in 10 gallon pots in order to have a good runoff. Usually around the 1.25 gallons I start to see a little runoff. I hand water checking ph and ppm going in. The Alaska fish fertilizer has a ph around 4 so I have been ph- ing my water with it. Only feeding at full strength when runoff ppm is under 500. During veg I try to keep runoff ppm between 500 and 1300. During flower that will change to keeping runoff between 1100 and 2300.

Thats interesting. I previously thought ya didnt want runoff with soil grows. I take it you been doing it this way for a while? Really appreciate your time and hearing your thoughts.

Yes, I have been watering to runoff in fabric pots with soil for about 4 years now.
