6” is crazy close!biosynthetic wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 10:36 pmI took a picture of the lights:
The light at the far side is about 6" from the tops
I think I can hit 8-10” during pats flower with the lights I got but generally the 12-20” range seems to do me pretty well thru the grows
and the flowers bloom like madness in the spring

Re: Big Things Have Small Beginnings
Ethos grape diamonds getting there, I think we are 3 weeks or so from the chop.
She’s fierce and is kicking off a wickedly delish sharp grape koolaid powder smell, with a green danky weed smell ofc to top it off.
Feed wise, we’ve cut the goldleaf to 5ml/gal and I’ll feed this dose for the next two weeks, last week I’ll drop the goldleaf to 2.5ml and feed up to the chop.
She is also getting the weekly sea-k added to the feed and I’ll do that thru the rest of the grow as well.
I am super pleased with this plant and how’s she’s shaped up this far, fingers crossed we sail thru the finish line without any hiccups!

Re: Big Things Have Small Beginnings
Yes i here that man. End of shift they can take a zillion times more light than we like to think, just look at those outdoor grows in the sun in places like, Mexico, Jamaica and Cali. Me wonders what that registers on these meters. That's my take on it anyhowbiosynthetic wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 9:41 pmPersonally I like to have them close as possible for maximum canopy penetration. Cheers

Re: Big Things Have Small Beginnings
I’m going to wax poetic for a bit concerning Super Natural Seeds UK Ice Cream Cake Photo.
This plant is one of 2 I got glowing that are being grown in a “super soil” style.
I use coco loco as my medium and have amended it using the core trio from Gaia Green, All Purpose, Power Bloom, and Glacial Dust.
I got a “recipe” from a growmie online, fairly standard mix.
Veg goes heavier on the all purpose, flower goes heavier on the power bloom yada yada.
I am also watering in mykos/Fishhead farms fishshit, and have been using a weekly foliar of sea-k from greenleaf.
I anticipated some issues with ph, I don’t have a meter anymore and I think my tapwater is a bit high in the coco loco.
The plant has gone thru 2 spells where she showed me some signs of distress which I’m assuming stems from that ph and overwatering.
I’m not really doing anything to address it, just plowing thru this plant to see how it does from start to finish on this feed style/routine.
So I’ve flipped her to flower and she is just blowing up, her growth is nice and mostly even, branches and leaves are in nice shape and the color is pretty spot on.
Feedwise- I gave her the last veg-focused topdressing when I flipped her to 12/12 and the next topdress will be here once I see some budsites popping off, that will be the first flower-focused topdress.
I am more pleased than displeased with how she is turning out, and depending on how she turns out thru flower I can def see myself continuing the GG supersoil style growing.
I don’t think it will ever fully replace the goldleaf feeds, those plants are stupid easy autopilot grows that produce, but I wouldn’t mind adding a couple fat tasty GG gals to the stagger.
I am aware she needs a defol something fierce, she’s been stressed from the watering and I didn’t want to pile on.
I’ll start plucking leaves here this weekend and once she gets thru the flip period I’ll do a big defol session.
Otherwise she is gorgeous!

Re: Big Things Have Small Beginnings
lets take a quick look at the next cycle, we got some green sprouties and early vegger going and im pleased with appearances.
left side is the cannarado papaya milk photo and right side is the mephisto jammy dodgers auto.
they are being recorded in their own journals for those inclined to look thru details and such.

this ugly sprouty is the ethos mystery zweet reg.
the other 2 havent made any appaerances so this unsexed thang might be going it alone as far as the regs im trying this round.
if it were to die today i wouldnt be too torn up, if it were to grow i would be even less not-torn up lolol
