Maybe check for stinky roots is another one yes, you never know cus running recycled ferts isn't always best thing to do for plants in fact its far from best way to grow any plant. As said flipping they usually come good pretty quickly so long as its nothing like rot. Just slinging shit out their for ya`s to check.Twisted wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 4:00 pmSince last time I let the pots dry out and put 2 aquarium heaters in the res temps at 21c now.
I am slightly concerned about the drooping, also a spray of calmag needed?
I'm hoping to flip these next week so hoping to get them right

Twisted first hydro attempt
DWC needs calmag in the res absolutly. water temps18-19deg unless you have LactoAcid bacteria which boosts roots and allows higher res temps and prevents Pythium bacteria.
A chiller with a reservoir circulating is whats needed in 90% of cases.
DWC is the most complex and toughest grow method.
ph 5.5-6.2
Calmag must be in res !!! i canot stress this enough but it wont change nothing unless temps are rectified
Do you have air bubbling in every bucket ? if so it cannot be too strong ,just a nice gentle bubbling evenly spread in the root zone

Your feeds should have plenty in them.

Re: Twisted first hydro attempt
Ive always had to add calmag to my feeds. Never enough in them base nutes, it depends on your water supply far more often then not. You folks in Uk are in limestone which provides most of it in the water supply.Marcus wrote:Don't add calmag.Twisted wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 10:59 amWill get it added today trex, no bubbles In all the buckets it's flood and drain palTrex wrote:DWC needs calmag in the res absolutly. water temps18-19deg unless you have LactoAcid bacteria which boosts roots and allows higher res temps and prevents Pythium bacteria.

I go straight to deficiency if i dont add it . i find 1/4 ratio calmag to base nutes optimal. Foliar sprays never cut it for me
