I think the main thing to remember is that wattage doesn't equal yield, with the light close enough to the canopy the par will be still of a high enough value to get the yields.

In theory I could move the light even closer and reduce power even more, maybe I'll try a 100w grow soon

I'm just a lone grower trying to reduce my electricity use , I know what can be achieved with these lights at low power, keeno showed us that with his 3gpw behaviour.

Regardless of a person's situation , there is always a way to be more efficient. And to be honest, I get better yields at lower power than I do at higher power.
