Checked the roots again today and more white than brown now so the Pythoff is definitely working after a single dose.

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Do you know something I don't about the Pythoff ? It's seems to be helping mate.
I did also get a new Air Pump but only just fitted that - returned my ET60 for a Hailea V30 which is a lot quieter in my loft and still kicks out more than enough air for what I have going on (the ET60 was way over powered). Plus I can use the old one as a backup. I so wish I had enough room to build your kinda setup. Yours is professional where as mine is very much Ghetto - but I am learning and making do with what I have ;o)
She does seem to have perked up - lets just hope with this bloody heat she doesn't get the root rot again! Chiller is working it's arse off. I only got the little 150 version as my total water capacity is only about 40 litres but the problem I have is that it is positioned in the loft which is currently over 40℃ so the chiller is having problems dispersing the heat it has extracted from the water.
At the min I have the new 30" Ram fan blowing hot loft air on the chiller which in turn is blowing hot waste air against the RES! I am fighting a loosing battle with this heat mate. Which is joke really because in a couple of weeks I will be moaning about the cold ;o)
I have seen that Silver Bullet being mentioned as better than the OxyPlus that I got but to be fair mate - the Pythoff - one dose has really turned the tables I think:-
Not completely out of the woods yet, so might give it another dosing depending on how it looks over the next couple of days.
Gonna keep topping it up with a min dose of OxyPlus as well between flushes and re dosing of the Pythoff if it is still required. My initial impressions is that the Pythoff is worth having in your emergency store as you don't use anywhere near the amount of OxyPlus they want you to put in.
But I know nothing (John Snow me) so all advice is very welcome and appreciated as far as I am concerned.

Not at all mate - my bad. Exclamation marks confuse me and I thought I might have done something wrong ;o)Marcus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 8:12 pmSorry if that came across as sarcastic dude.. I really was wishing you luck with using the pythoff!![]()
Pythoff was difficult to get hold of at one stage and i know this dude tried Silver Bullet and never looked back.![]()
Ah sorry man, I know I'm a sarcastic tool most of the times but I was really just wishing you luck.![]()

Already panicking with adding the pythoff as well as the OxyPlus.
I just need a little more experience which will come with a lot more mistakes or hopefully by following every ones grow diaries. Fecking valuable information to be had in each of those for sure.
Sorry mate, Didn't mean to confuse things and your totally fine - sarcasm is lost on me ;O)

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Thank you mate.
I'm gonna be a fecking expert with the amount of mistakes I make ;o)
Just flooded the tent because the pump wasn't working as well so I turned it up and then removed the crappy mesh bag I had put around it to try to catch all the shite. Suddenly the pump started working 'MUCH' better than before with water flooding out the tops of the pots LOL.
That's the humidity problem sorted for the next couple of days at least ;o) I can't be arsed to mop it up - way too hot up there in the loft. It will evaporate by tomorrow I hope.

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Both the Silver Bullet and OxyPlus where recommended - so far I only have the OxyPlus but definitely still looking at getting the Silver Bullet as the OxyPlus needs dosing daily and the Silver Bullet weekly. Worth the extra money in my books for the hassle factor and less actual volume used.Marcus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 8:25 pmDon't panic about it. The Oxyplus is h2o2, it'll just turn into h and o2 within a day (iirc). I dunno much about pythoff.
I used to hit my res with 1 or 2 ml/L of h2o2 (oxyplus) weekly at change, depending how slimy the sides of the tub felt. Roots were spotless when I ditched the clay balls.
I just need to try and cut back on some spending for a while to try and recoup some savings - setting up a GRoom can be quite expensive when you want FECKING EVERYTHING ;o)

Would it be worth putting some h202 or even just an air stone for some water movement in the backup water tank that I use to collect RO water prior to filling my RES? That feels a little slimy on the sides.

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Update - 64 day old
Still fighting the root rot and I missed a single day:-

which seems to have made all the difference and the leaves dropped overnight and have not come back since. Either that or I need to obtain a kit to the know the actual levels of 'chlorine' in the water and approach it from that side.
I am kinda giving up on the Hydro grows for other reasons such as water pump noise. but overall it's a pain in the arse ;o)

Yes mate, I have been lazy I must admit as no one want's to be in the loft with such high temps. Got myself a battery powered drain siphon thing to help with that now so hopefully should be able to completely drain the pots and Res at the next change.

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Day 65 and adjusted the ppm up to 950 and lowered the PH to 5.8 for a little variety ;o)

Still tackling the root rot so another 8ml of Pythoff is still being added daily along with about 35ml of OxyPlus.
Using a mix of week 5 and 6 on the schedule to make up the 950 ppm as not really sure what stage this plant is currently in but looks like early flower.
