The cosmic brain is approaching preflower. I trimmed like 1/3 of this plant to make way for the best bud sites…

It’s loving the light and starting to stretch

The Candy Dawg Yule ball … is in a two gallon and needs transplanting soon

The Triton Biscotti is doing well too

Friday or Saturday should be my next update!

The small 2x4 has two regular bagseed seedlings called “Reginald” and “pumpkin head” - we will see how they grow. I get to play with determining the sex of the plants now.

I’m saving my feminized and auto seeds for down the line use and have now started to pop off some of the misc bag seeds I have kept around. This way I get to really dive into the correct light cycles and determining what the sex of the plants are.

also the CaliWeed Blue Dream auto seedling just popped yesterday…Once it is more along I will put the plant in the auto tent and start up a diary in the sponsored grow area.

This year has been really amazing for my growing education and plant learning. I really appreciate having a forum like this to document parts of my research!!
And I’m so excited to be part of a great community of awesome knowledgeable people around the world 🙏🏾💛

You have really got stuck into the multi strain madness Daze. No better way to learn as you will hit different strains wanting different feeds, light, enviroment. Jumping in the deep end but that's always the best way :barmy:

I have learned so much from my first grow this year to today through trying out various autoflowers this year…

As I move into 2023 I will work more on stable testing and focus on better documentation for the science…
As I move into learning how to sex the plants and look for good growing traits

The amazing things is I started growing for the flowers and then I started growing cause I love the plant and have found incredible inspiration and respect for the medicine it produces!

Autoflowers were great for the first year
And ya rights… I hoped on a few crazy Instagram trains before I learned it’s not about the hybridization

I really feel the hybridization hinders as much as it helps the plant.

I look forward to expanding my knowledge and understanding of this great plant and I love have a place to document that growth!

An update on the grow status
I’ve currently got four autoflowers in a staggering rotation… I raised the lights and they’re hanging out with Ganesha up in the 4x4…
Image
The cosmic brain auto I started mid August is now mid flower in 8 weeks time
Image
The SeedStockers triton lime biscotti auto has its own grow thread in the sponsored area but you can see it’s got the Christmas tree structure going on here ( more up close photos to follow in that thread)
Image
The 1st Candy Dawg Auto I had intended to be the Yule ball grow is preparing for preflower by these lime looking areas ….
Image
The Spotless Queen auto is if you can believe it only 2 weeks of Veg and loving the lights and new nutrients …
Image
With the 24/0 Autoflower lights on it is accelerating the growth cycle of these plants. I’m watering more often throughout the week.

I switched up from the liquid FOOP stuff cause it was molding faster that I could utilize it to powder water soluble nutes called Complete Crop and Flower Fuel and so far the autoflowers love it
Image
The photoperiod 2x4 holds the auto tester seeds and new seedlings.

I’ve got 2 misc regular bagseed - I call Reginald and Pumpkin thanks to DND friends lol 😂 and we will see how they grow…
Image
I’ve got a caliWeed Blue Dream auto in germination and the last SeedStockers Candy Dawg seed for the Yule Ball grow. I made better holes for drainage in the bauble and have covered it in aluminum foil - so we will see how it grows….
✨💪🏾💪🏾🙌🙏🏾✨
That’s my update for now

We have so many updates for this space…we are winding down towards the end of 2022…
8 weeks left…
Halloweed Harvest of the Cosmic Brain last night … I stunted this plant and she gave me popcorn nugs and their sitting in the WeDryerXL for the next week or so…
Image

Firstly - the triton biscotti lime Autoflower did herm out on me!! I’m quite sad about it - Keeno confirmed!
Image

Saddddly …. The Candy Dawg auto has followed the pattern and given me herm traits too….

The CaliWeed Blue Dream Autos - 3/5 germinated… 1/3 sprouted past seedling stage … but it stunted and the coyleton leaves yellowed out and she shriveled up by week 2….

So those have been culled…. I’m not sure if it’s a SeedStockers thing on those autos or a growers learning curve with them… I’m unsure. It’s been an interesting documentation process!

I’ve got a Spotless Queen Autoflower
left in the tent… this pheno is more taller and I stunted her a little with defoliation…. This is also my last Autoflower for the season currently…
Image
She is in flowering phase and I’m determined to do right by this one and I hope to harvest by mid December….
Image

So What’s Up Next for Daze?
Image
I’ve moved some seedlings around for experimenting…

In the 4x4 we have the feminized run…
Image
Spanish Moon S1 - feminized by @LovinInHerEyes on Instagram
Image
These beans I admit - I followed the hype and paid big monies for them - I’ve had them since January 🤩and decided to try my luck with the two that sprouted. The green tag pheno is two weeks old and the red tag pheno is just sprouting above soil in the humidity dome. These are in one gallon air pots to start out.

Image
I also started a Lemon Tree ( Sour Diesel x Lemon Skunk) feminized seed and she’s just sprouted as well. This is in a 1 gallon air pot to start out.

we have a special regular run going in the 2x4 of some misc bag seeds that were purple/green flower buds and probably would’ve been DANK if it hadn’t been dry and old flower. So I decided to see what grows and how to determine the sex once they do. They all recently went from solo cups to 2 gallon forever homes.
Image
So that’s my update for end of October…. Theres more to come for November!

Take care and thanks for following along

Very cool and detailed update Daze. I'm seeing a lot of diesel strains popping up and plan to run a Sour d myself. I look forward to the Lemon Tree. Lemon Skunk is an old-school brute on its own, the added Sour D can only be a good thing

My goal is to run both tents on an 18/6 light cycle and have the autoflowers live their lifespan on the 18/6 while the photoperiod fems get to long veg throughout the winter.

I will be making future updates here for November and into December. I do intended to run another sponsored diary once the seeds arrive in the post! An amazing job on that part.

I appreciate being able to grow for the science and seeing how things turn out.

I spent yesterday watching YouTube videos on the photoperiod vegetative cycles and lighting cycles and training the plants.

I’ve been reading up on how not to stunt my plants 🌱 and give them the best chance for success.
I’ve been stunting my plants with immense amounts of defoliation and so I’ve been learning up on how not to do that 😂🧐

It’s my hope this next round turns out like some of the amazing plants I’ve seen in other diaries.

Each time I’m getting more confident and consistent with the care that I’m able to give the garden.

I’ve gotten much better at pest control with watering schedules and sticky straps

This really has been a good month for the garden.
I look forward to seeing it blossom in a few weeks!
