If you've got space to take it you cant beat those 600hps for growing big sticky fat monster buds. IMO nowt comes close @biosynthetic , yes ok 1000watters might but its very hard to control heat with a few of those big feckers you need bigger extraction = more noise and such like. 2 or 3 x 600`s in a bedroom will grow you shit loads and is much more controllable environment .

Your grow looks grand as well mukka.

I've grown with HPS before and yields were great, very big dense colas and I never had to worry about budrot but I still prefer LED bud, I've got the space but I cant afford to use that much power tbh, and I still produce enough for my needs with the invisible suns :puff puff: cheers

Week 9 (day 57)
Most of them look about ready but a couple still have lots of white hairs like the cheesedom but I'm gonna chop this weekend. I think it was definitely the cherry bomb that hermied because the plants around it seem to have seeded the most, the samples were a good smoke but did have a lot of seeds unfortunately  Plants still looking nice with lots of purples and plenty of trichomes, with lots of foxtailing. I'm probably gonna be making a load of dry sift and concentrates from this crop. I've actually wanted to take a break from using ganj and detox for a while so maybe this is a good opportunity :idn: Gonna try to figure out the focus on my camera and make some better videos hopefully, but thats it anyway, cheers all peace :coco: :puff puff: :cowby:  :barmy: :dazed:   :thanks: :getitchopped:

Lovely array of colours there @biosynthetic. Shame about the hermies :(

It's weird how hermies went from once in a blue moon to common over the years. I blame some of the early pioneers of feminised seeds. Breeders looking for phenotypes that hermie easy, then using those cultivars to create more feminised seeds. A lot of the strains available today have these weak strains in their ancestry. All started around 2004 IMHO. Before then, I'd only heard of the odd person having issues.

Yeh I don't normally have much of a problem with them but when it's so many different strains in a tent the chance of a hermie or mutant is definitely higher. The cherry bomb was a cutting so it was my own fault more than anything, on the last run there was a bud on the original plant that had seeds in it. The rest of the plant was fine but I still shouldnt have used it and should have really culled the plant at 5 weeks when I first discovered it had seeded. Oh well :Stoned: cheers :puff puff:

So I thought I would finish this diary off with a smoke report, was generally a good run but this was the most seeded crop I've ever had. Some plants were not really affected but one or two were fairly bad, it was still a good smoke just had to pick thru it when smoking lol. Overall tho the yield was alright the frost production was on point and I got some nice flavours. Not the best but not the worst either 8-) Cheers

Zombie Kush
Quite a big plant with lots of tops, good producer and nice smooth smoke. Good for a daytime smoke as well, quite uplifting and energizing high as long as you don't over do it. Buds were dense and fairly typical sweet kush aroma with strong eucalyptus tones, nice skunky aftertaste when smoked, when vaped it was a little bit more anise tasting. Very enjoyable and smokable.

Chocolopez
Another big plant and quite heavy producer, had trouble with training this one which I did expect but managed ok. Also was a nice daytime high, very motivational and creative. Buds were dense frosty and had nice terps, quite a mixture of spicy fruity and skunky, kind of like a fruity haze? Really enjoyed this one as well, maybe could have gone another week or two but was definitely happy with it.

Melonberry Zoda
Nice looking colourful plant, few main colas and medium size. Yield was decent, buds were dense and frosty with a complex dank/berry/earthy terp profile. Pretty strong narcotic kinda high, not super sedative but good full body stone. Definitely was a bit different, want to grow more of this and see what phenos/expressions I can get.

TropicOzz
Medium plants with decent yield, one was more green one was more purple. Buds were dense and really frosty, very strong high. Taste was quite strong as well, sort of tropical/orange mix with a dank gassy aftertaste. Pretty strong strain, will be growing this again.

Forbidden Nectar
Purple pheno was small and low yield but very nice forest fruit/orange terps, quite frosty and fairly strong sedative high. The green pheno was a bit bigger and higher yielding, more orangey terps but similar high and frost production. Good smoke but low producing phenos.

Red Red Wine
2 phenos were more on the dank gassy gelato side with some fruity tones but pheno #2 had very strong strawberry terps, smell was like Haribo balla stix. Medium tall plants with big heavy dense colas, very frosty and dark colour on all 3. Very strong smoke, not the sort of stuff you want to smoke a lot of tho but I will be growing out the rest of the pack sometime. The strawberry pheno would have been a keeper if I had the space to accomodate at the time but I had to lose all the cuttings unfortunately.

Lemon Curd
Planted a bit after the others and wasn't topped but yield was alright. Was a good smoke with nice buds but this plant got heavily seeded so it was kinda ruined. Really nice lemon/melon terps on this strain, gonna keep growing till I find a keeper. Good strong high and taste.

Cheesedom
Good yield but wasn't really ready to harvest, buds ended up a bit fluffy and wasn't the most frost on it. Not the strongest smoke or taste, just not really a good pheno all round.

Watermelon Wedding Cake
Quite a small plant, maybe needed a bit more light. Buds and overall yield was quite small as well, smoke was decent but would have liked more melon terps, was just a wedding cake kinda pheno. Not bad tho, fairly average.

Pink Gasoline
Big plant with quite a lot of stretch, yield was good tho. Dense and super frosty buds, very strong gassy fuel smell and taste. Strong sleepy high, similar to the peach sherbert. Trim was very good for making dry sift. Powerful weed this.

Amy Aces
Medium sized plant with dense colas and decent yield. Quite frosty and nice smell, a mix of funky almost cat pissy haze smell with little bit fruity and gassy/skunky dankness. Was probably the most different terps along with the melonberry, would grow this again. Quite strong and enjoyable to smoke, kind and smooth with a balanced high.

The cuttings I already talked about on the previous run so this about wraps it up, cheers all peace :puff puff: :cowby: :thanks:
