Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
Today is 7 days into dry. The gods are really looking on my grow with love. I've been able to hold temps between 60 and 65F, humidity to 57 - 58% RH. If things stay the same I'm hoping for 10 to 14 days dry. It looks like it might be a staggered trim. That would be great.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
I have done final trim and jar. I did two of the plants on day 8 of drying and three on day 9. Here's the yield if anyone is interested:
Midnight Moonlight #1 – 99 grams
Midnight Moonlight #2 – 83 grams
White Wedding #1 – 102 grams
White Wedding #2 – 96 grams
Zweet Inzanity – 146 grams
They all smell great but my favorite is the Zweet Inzanity. It has a strong smell of pine cleaner, solvent and vanilla.
Here is my take on this run and plans to improve next run:
Final thought – end of grow
I have been trying hard to keep everything consistent throughout my grow and from grow to grow. I believe that smoothing out the peaks and valleys of temperature and humidity has helped my quality. As I move forward I'm trying to fine tune my growing methods rather than modify them. Here's my plan going forward.
First, I am very happy with how this grow turned out. Second, could I have done better? Of course. So this is my review/assessment of my last grow and my plan to improve the next grow.
Pros:
1) Hempy method works well
2) Plant training was good
3) Easy feeding and inspection up to week 7 of flower being able to take out of tent.
4) Good quality and quantity this grow.
Cons:
1) Plants grew taller than needed even after topping and training.
2) One of the strains had a problem that manifested very quickly and showed on upper fan leaves.
From what I could tell it appeared to be a calcium deficiency. However I also think it could have been too much dry back. In any event it was strain dependent.
3) All the plants had some level of burnt or crisp tips and edges. Taco/canoeing leaves on some.
Plan to improve:
1) Start using tap water instead of RO.
2) Veg for 5 weeks instead of 6 to try and limit height.
3) I've added another 135 watt HLG light to my 4' x 4' tent. I'm not necessarily going to increase overall wattage but rather try to get better coverage in my grow space.
4) I am considering moving the drivers off the lights and move outside the tent. I think I could drop temps by a few degrees. Should make things easier on the plants.
5) Watch the amount of dry back by paying closer attention to the amount of runoff.
6) I am going to dial back nutrients next grow. I was feeding at 1.7 EC for all of flower. I'm going to limit the strength to 1.5 EC unless the plants really looks like it needs more.
Interesting to see the differences in phenotypes, especially the Midnight Monnlight. One is purple as can be and the other is all green.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
Here's a nice photo of some bud from the purple plant (Midnight Moonlight). The other plant of same strain has buds that look the same but without any purple.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
Cracking grow this is Grumpy Toad!
I know I've popped in a few times over the course as I recognise Terp-Dogg. Although he told me his name was Turd-Dawg, I may need my ears syringing.
But yes, a great hempy grow, thanks for sharing with us.
You have given me another style to ponder now.
Cheers dude!

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall 2022 grow
His name was Elfvis, originally from Memphis, TN. Started smoking the jazz cabbage and changed his name to Terp Dawg. But now he is listening to white boy reggae and thinking about change again to Terp-Lion. LOL
