Cheers Herb, it's all cool though. When you gotta go, you gotta go so enjoy yourself now. My Uncle's funeral today too. I;m a right ray of sunshine around the place huh?🤣

Anyway. 2 males 1 female, so I;ve slung one of these in a pot too.

"Thai Chi is a new sativa/indica hybrid with a perfect Asian genetic balance. It’s a direct cross between a new pure Thai sativa from the northwestern province of Chiang Mai, and our 4th generation Kali China elite.

At last, you can enjoy with this hybrid of the best qualities of the legendary Thai sativas (extreme vigor, strong branching, prime quality euphoric psychoactivity, high resistance against fungus), in a moderate flowering time, and even in latitudes far from the equator where flowering can take place with cold and rains.

Kali China is the perfect strain for this Asian marriage. The introduction of Kali China genetics into the hybrid has favoured the adaptation of the wild Thai genetics to indoor growing, drastically shortening the flowering to 10-11 weeks, increasing the flower density and resin production, contributing with its more refined terpene profile, and rounding out the effect with its qualities and its best Asian sativa traits.

The influence of Kali China’s beauty is also evident, being able to find in this hybrid a beautiful expression of ‘Red Thai’. Very aesthetically pleasing plants in flowering, which in many cases show beautiful reddish colours throughout the plant, ripening with low temperatures with an almost black look.

Authentic F1 hybrid with great tropical sativa vigor. When Thai Chi is grown indoors in small spaces the yield is moderate, but outdoors, with more space and longer growing stages it has the potential to produce huge crops.

The Thai phenos have an aroma of natural incense and cured wood that will delight the ‘old school’ sativa lovers. The expressions with stronger Kali China influence have a more complex fruity terpene profile.

Its effect has excellent mood enhancing sativa qualities: clean, cerebral, active, sociable and positive, without producing paranoia or nervousness.
Excellent to meditate since it produces a balanced and enlightened introspection."

Apparently.

It's gonna turn me into a farting Zen Buddhist.✌

Oh, fuck you! Making me jealous with those Malawi gold, man! Looking cracking dude, you're making me want to pop my own after all the time they've spent in my fridge, wondering what the hell happened to them! no

Looks like a couple of pollen sacs popping up on the last pic, on the lower half of the head - but nothing problematic if you pick them off it, looks pretty damned tasty from here! How's the waft off them, out of pure curiosity?

That funky git definitely looks funky, eh?! Hopefully it figures out it's purpose in life and gives you some decent dope or pollen, but you win some, lose some, hmm?

Good to hear Wales is treating you well, Ireland is as shite as ever! The things you do for love..! Anyways, I've literally got the square root of feck all but spiders growing in my spaces at the moment, soon to be filled to the brim with a variety of weird and wonderful things if I can be bothered doing it... 'tis all LED powered now though, so at least it's cheap and cool!

Damned right that they'll be proper old school ganja though, I'm thinking Kerala x WiFi F2's in the 120x120 space, maybe some
Ace Ethiopian in the 90x90 and a few homebrew Sandstorm x Lebanese in the 120x90. Dunno if you heard Cannabiogen shut shop as far as seeds go, they only do nutes now...Shame, their beans were some of the best in the business.

11/13, they'll live man, unhappy maybe, but they'll get over it! TBH, I've never had anything Mexican actually 'be' happy, et alone have one of them seem to be 'quite' acclimated to indoors..grumpy gits all round IMO Hopefully they do you a decent yield, but you sound like you've had decent results from other Oaxacan/Mexican types before?

Can't say I blame your tshirt with those peppers mate, they liven up basically anything! Bit of salt, fry them in olive oil 'till the skin blisters off them, fling them into anything after that..beautiful!

ATB
I pollinated the early pistils on these Malawi by leaving the male in there.
The male Malwi also hit the Purple Paki Haze too and a Kali China for a dozen beans off them. Oh and it hit my Haze19 x nl5 tester I ran also.

Here's the PPHaze and the boss eyed Dude...

Image

Kali China (done in 7/8 weeks)

I've still got a couple of them Ethiopian in the fridge, I'm addicted to the Bangi Haze though. Such good meds for me, 1 toot and I'm a functioning adult. 2 toots and it's let's start the party time... no ceiling on that one so it helps with sleep too. Fermented when cured and it's really out of this world.
I've most of Ace's catalogue in the fridge, been finding some great meds for me.

That's one thing I've found delving into narrow leaf "purer" types... I can get a full nights sleep on them, modern polypolyhybrids x polypolypolyhybrids well... awake in a couple of hours. Even the fattest of fat leaved ones. Half hour high and then back for more, the NLDs tend to keep me up for 3/4 hours with a nice smooth ride into the bed. Was chatting about this the other day, they've bred dope to be like crack now, keep the kids coming back and buying more. Long live 1980s brickweed! :rolf:

The daft looking one will pull around, I'm down to growing in a little 50cm x 180cm cubby now. Fits the cmh nice, but only 2 or 3 plants for the forseeable future. SO fingers crossed for 2 chicks n a freaky dude on them Mountain Gold.
Keeno managed to snag me the last 2 packs of ace's Thai Chi (only single packs) from the wholesalers, I may squeeze one of those in there too. But yeah, I'll raise them light times to 14/10 when the Malawi are down and then drop it back to 11/13 when big enough.

The Malawi are FULL of bananas. They do not like the 1L pots or the indoor lighting, but I've nothing else around to pollinate and I've already stripped 24 beans off them both for safekeeping. Very carroty and orangey smelling. I likey.

Just hola if you want any crosses, you know the drill. Plenty in the fridge round here. :cowby:

Take it easy dude!

Ooh, nearly forgot, I got a couple of Auto Zamaldelicas just starting to show pistils and at 3foot high already. (4 foot if you count the pot)...

Image

I think they may need a bigger crappy polytunnel to grow in. :bang head: Mon the stretch!

Edit - Yeah, cannbiogen have gone. Was it Charlie the dude who ran it? What I can see, he'd just had enough of the whole seed/breeding game. I can see why, these seedbanks, calling themselves breeders that are popping up are just buying bulk beans in for pennies and making fancy packaging for them and charging daft prices, then they'll go above and beyond to try and fuck proper breeders over. It's all bullshit dude.
The whole game is run by people with no love for the plant or the culture, just after the fucking money.
Ripping real breeder's hard work off and calling them Fairys while they're at it.
Then there's the fuckers ripping off and selling dead folks lifetimes of work for £150 a dozen. Fucken bullshit man.

Rant over.😂
Oof mate, that Kali's a chunky monkey! It was literally the only Ace strain I did once, and forgot..lovely smell/taste, but grew pretty naff for my space, all leaves. Just a crap pheno, but I've never pulled the trigger on more beans, no point with the giant backlog in the fridge..!

The pollination, oh I thought it at the time, "too obvious, surely..." but better safe than sorry, the amount of times I've walked in the room and spotted something that should've been obvious weeks ago..! Not that you're my level of daft, of course - I'm unconvinvinced that anyone pays as little attention as I do! My opinion is if something goes tits up, it didn't deserve to live in my groom to begin with, so..oh well :viking:

CBG, yeah, Charlie Garcia, if memory serves. The posts are probably still up on ICGM or whatever the place is called, haven't been there in ages, used to be a member on Club Cannabiogen way back - still have some pics of a few choice strains from there - there was a lot more on there that shows the attitude of CBG. Dubi too, in the pre-ace days. Not many these days would advise peeps NOT to grow a given strain of theirs..Charlie did, with Sandstorm F4's. Took them off sale, bred 'em to F6 and re-released them. (what you and me bought) Dude with a bit of class, eh. Could do with more like that in the business, but nah, 'tis all money, amazing, this, that, no, my strain's perfect..! Aye, is it really..?! From what I remember, there just weren't enough sales of beans to justify keeping that part of CBG going...understandable, really... Most of us buy one pack, make more beans, never buy again, because you never know when they'll be gone forever. Self fulfilling prophecy, eh?

You're more than welcome to the ones I have, whenever I get around to reproing any - CBG Durban are already long done, also have Colombian Mangobiche, Colombia Punto Rojo, Mexico Jarilla Sinaloa, and Ghana, possibly others I'm forgetting... You know as well as me, beans are free, it's life that's expensive!

In fairness to Ace they did more or less the same as CBG did, but with the China Yunnan regs, they were available briefly ages ago then taken off again, only recently put back up for sale again... Very rare to see, but appreciated by the few who noticed. The original release was riddled with hermies. It's not like they were overly public about it, but it's the action that matters IMO.

Absolutely, totally, massively get you on the old school gear and sleep, I wish I didnt... 28h awake before my last sleep, put it that way! Sleep pattern, whassat?! Bit of proper smoke, yeah man, lights out like a baby in a car, instantly! You've tempted me to bring out the Bangi now, got about 20-30 freebie beans...tried it in Bangi x Panama, X Kali China etc, but never on it's own, nope. Bring the Bangi!

Malawi, full of nana's, you have to be kidding! lol. Seriously though, you're STILL going at it in 1l pots?! Good on you, but damn, you're braver than me! 6.5l pots and I'm still expecting trouble, 1l is a starter 'round here, and nothing more. Respect as always mate! Sounds like an awkward kind of space, but what you have is what you have, and...you're smashing it, just the same as in the less-awkward spaces I remember you growing in before, kudos on that, few growers I've ever known have been as flexible as you are, nor so on-it. It's a rare talent, but you achieve every time.

P.S. Auto Zamaldelica were bloody massive and tried to eat the HPS when I tried them a few years back, they were F3's though, and I'm almost 100% they've been bred to at leat F4 since..AutoMalawi were better in my limited experience, but other than their gigantism, nothing much bad to say about Autozam..other than ordinary Zamaldelica trounced it, but at about 3x the fower duration!

Have a good one dude,

ATB

Hi dude.

The Kali China was fast, I was scoping her at 6 weeks and saying nah, impossible she's done. I left her another week or so and she smashes me in the best way. Grapefruity strong scent, would make some cracking hash. Not a huge yielder but she filled a space in the tent and was worth it.

Image

Shame Charlie gave up the breeding though, as you say he had some solid stuff and he had a conscious about it. Dubi probably has all his cuts here and there too, they seemed quite close from what I read on the boards.
I'm happy paying a good price for a pack of beans from breeders who do it for a hobby and have worked their cuts for a couple of decades, the quality is there, they grow as expected and the final product is exactly what is expected. Unlike the latest icecream/sweetshop flavour to come out of a fancy pack.

I've been sleeping loads better since moving towards the narrower leaf types, more landracey stuff I suppose. I'm about to run out of the Bangi, I've fems and regs here so may sling something in water soon. I really am itching to run the Guawi too, but not during summer. I'll do that over winter. I've got Oaxaca x Panama waiting in the wings too. Might do one of each in the cubby.

Yup them 1L pots were space fillers, then they got too big so ended up in the cubby when I'd finished the last run. I'm normally running 10L of batmix these days, but I got a bag of coir knocking around and some A+B, so I'm going to smash some 11L pots this next run. Thai Chi and Mountain Gold. That should fill that narrow space.

The Auto Zams are nearly 6ft tall in the hoop house now. Currently 85%RH in early flower thanks to the good old Welsh weather. One isn't even wanting to flower, so I may snip that one right back. Getting a bit of a twitchy bottom with the size of them and nosey neighbours. Ah well.

I pulled 70 odd beans off the stem of the Malawi that never chucked a nanner yesterday, you're more than welcome to a couple dozen. The other one is full of nanners, so I amy just feed them to the birds. But sod's law is that it'll toot better than the nanner free one. :roll eyes:

I like the Nep Jam and I LOVE the kali China so I think it'll be a nice cross.

Dubi has a thread over on icmag about that one. https://www.icmag.com/threads/nepal-jam ... na.369453/

Looks like it finishes up a very pretty plant.
