Re: Grumpy Toad rides again!
I checked on Saturday (4/20) and decided they needed another day for the root to develop. Got them in on Sunday.

Re: Grumpy Toad rides again!
I have five plants from the initial batch of seeds. The Fish Scale x Pave was a no-go. I started a Gary Payton x Fish Scale in it's place. I've been watering the plugs several times a day with a weak nutrient mix. Yesterday I filled the reservoirs until runoff. Tap roots should be hitting pay dirt soon. So far the AC in the lung room is doing well. Once we hit the 100's we'll see what happens. Fingers crossed. I've decided to not top the plants. I'm going with five week veg and flip to 12/12. Try and keep them from getting too big.

Re: Grumpy Toad rides again!
Now that I have an AC unit in the lung room I believe I can maximize my lighting. In the past I couldn't run them too high or temperatures would get out of hand. I've been watching the Migro channel and decided to use his hack for a lux meter to find PAR. I bought the Uni-T from Amazon, Migro showed this being the most accurate of those units he tested.

I have a combination of 1/2 white LED and 1/2 white with red LED. I'm mapping the PAR and will adjust wattage and height to try and get the most efficient use. This morning i mapped out the tent and I'm between 300 and 400 PAR, depending on where I measure. Good enough for now.
Here is a link to Migro video on lux to PAR:

Re: Grumpy Toad rides again!
Update: Day 7 of veg.
All six plants are doing well. The Gary Payton x Fish Scale is behind, as expected. I've been feeding at .6 EC and will bump it to .8 EC then 1 EC and hold it there unless the plants show need for more. The portable AC unit is doing well but hasn't been really been tested. We are expecting outdoor temperatures here this weekend of 90F (32C). I'm still planning on about 5 weeks of veg before flipping. Here are a couple photos.

I usually grow multiple strains at once. If I didn't label them I'd forget what's what. LOL
