So hope you all had a great xmas and looking forward to the New Yr!

Well I seem to have managed to attract the fungus gnats grrrr.

So sticky pads going up and have sprinkled some cinnamon for now.

Orange bud has failed and so has the Kosher that I put in that pot.

Soaking another orange to see if that takes if not I'll just remove that pot .

So I've finally got a DP Orange Bud auto to pop and is doing her own little thing for now.

Bless her being so far behind the rest of the tent.

So I got a dose of fungus gnats which I've been trying to get rid of. .

Cinnamon powder has helped a tad but still a few buzzing about causing a nuisance so today I've hit the pots with a heavy sprinkling of DE. Hopefully this will take care of any new adults submerging aswell as the larvae.

I've never had any negative problems using de apart from the drying out of the soil so I will get a compost tea started and add some aloe extract , soap nut extract and also a touch of my garlic water ( diced garlic infused water ) to get soil holding water properly again.

Once this treatment period is over I will be topping up my pots with more compost to which I will be adding malted barley, and a few veg dry amendments.

CJ still looking good and still bigger than the Kosher cake ( but they slowly catching up )

The orange bud is only a few days out of the ground so not much to say in regards to her yet.

I'm not happy with how dry the top 2 to 3 inches of soil is but needs n musts and I can only assume its gonna force the roots to take the lead over top growth as it searches out the water they are in need of .

Really need to find a reputable place to order my compost from as that's both my last and this grow I've battled with fungus gnats and its bloody annoying

Hope everyones well and feel free to chuck your 2 pennies in as all criticism will be taken as constructive and is a great learning tool ImageImageImageImage

So 2 days later and I see no adults so sticky traps , de and me being Mr Miagi has done a job for now lol.

Topped the pots up with remaining compost with de and neem meal mixed through and gave a weak compost tea as a bottom feed as pots were so dry .

Will do another layer of de later to just be sure but fingers crossed.

With this much of a heavy handed de application is there anything I should keep an eye out for problem wise? Image

So the Cindy Jocks are looking happier now they have had the chance to access water after drying out massively in my bid to overcome the gnat issue.

I have a few damaged leaves I need to remove from watering n lights.

Also see a few signs of nute burn which I think maybe from a mix of the original soil being terrible and I expect way to hot and my weak compost tea I watered with maybe wasnt weak enough lol

I need to have a gander at other diarys on these ladies ImageImageImage

The 3 Cindy Jocks these girls are starting to really suck the moisture out of there pots. Some big knuckles forming on branches and well into pre flower . Gonna have to start tucking some of the fan leaves to expose more sites to the lightImageImageImage
