alot of the time they come with a belt strap super cheap but very effective

Seen this loads and never been sure why? Heat rises which is why I have mine up top but on same point if the air is being sucked out the bottom and you need to heat the plant this works. For me at the min it's mostly about keeping it outta the very small 'working area' I have to deal with in the overall growing environment / tent.

With the way my tent is laid out mate (considering I have loft joists splitting it in half) I have a very narrow area to place my feet when venturing into the tent to get to the plant a the back (and I can only enter from the front which is also split both diagonally and horizontally by support beams) and this area is also taken up by a heater on one side and a dehumidifier on the other. But yes I totally agree, I couldn't even get in my tent if it were not for the small pots (exaggerating off course but still tight in there).

I previously did a short video walk thru to record the area for insulation etc. which kinda shows the joists in front of the tent:-

I would also support your duct as much as your filter otherwise it is not going to be long before they separate. Even with clamps etc gravity will separate them in my experience.
