Deliberately slowing vegetative growth rate?

Post by grownnotflown420 »

Evening all,

Hope you’re all well,

I have some cuts that have rooted and just been potted up into 2L fabric pots ready for the next round of flower (after some veg time), my issue is my flower tent is currently occupied for another 8 weeks lol…

Has anyone some tips on how I can deliberately slow the vegetative growth right down without ending up with a leggy stressed out bitch? If at all possible 😂 wanting a miracle I know haha

They’re in a 60cm x 60cm x 120cm tent so their space is limited which is why I need to slow veg down 😂😂😂

One idea I’ve had is once these cuttings are of a certain size, take cuttings and discard of the mothers and start again if that makes any sense?

Yeah but eight weeks in 2 L pots? I’m assuming you’re in organic soil. Probably want to pot up a couple weeks prior to flower if so.

Im in the same boat, long story short planted too many beans and keep running out of room, apart from pinching and things the best way i found is by putting some sort of mesh on top of the plants, i use plastic brick guards from scaffolding but whatever you can get will do it. Keeps it from growing up and you can use it like a reverse scrog net, just take it out for a few days here or there to let it grow back a bit.
These are 32 weeks old now

Did the same thing with these when they was in the veg tent 29 weeks old now they are

Also if you can dim your light down as far as possible and cut back on nutrients it slows them up pretty good

lower the temp and slow down metabolism

lower than 18c and ya may see health and root issues tho. so 18-22 and ya will be cooking on low 8-)

I’m in coco, they will go into 16L pots for flower

Basically I got help up on flowering the plants currently in the flower tent due to over feeding and I don’t want to lose these cuts

Sweet thanks Vador!! I’ve dimmed it as much as I can, think it’ll be pulling like 40w from the wall, this is purely a guess, my energy meters are not connected to my WiFi atm and I’m still procrastinating from fixing them hahaha!
