Depends on how you cure and store it. I've heard a proper cured and stored bud will last for several years but I've never had bud long enough to confirm :)

Same as.

It's lucky to last till the next grow, let alone longer.

Yeah don't jar it in a light room or it goes off.
Cool, dark, sealed. I've had some for well over a year.

How does it smoke/taste after curing for a year compared to say... a few weeks?

A lot stronger imho and better tasting believe it or not Josh - I have no idea why though. GMO said its something to do with certain things breaking down to create other things but it was going above my head and I switched off haha - He will know tho :)
See if you find a bit thats been stored for a few month - 6 month tho.... try it :)

Weed most definitely does have a shelf life, potency terp profiles all start to deteriorate after a while but you can prolong it by looking after it

A pal of mine used to insulate lofts and a customer asked him to clear the loft as nothing up There was hers, long story short he arrived at mine that evening with 2 black bin liners full of bud, not what you think it looked the biz but it was awful no smell no taste no buzz you could literally smoke a baseball bat sized joint and not feel a thing apart from incredibly sick admittedly the weed was several years old but it had lost all its “funk” as our Marcus would say

Depends what your aiming for buzz wise also.

Some elements will continue to develop along the normal break down course; thc - thca - cdn with age

If your aiming for a high cbn content and a low thc content, the longer the better
