This is not going to plan, the girls have a problem with low ph at root zone. Ph of the run off is 5.0 and the EC is 0.9.
I am feeding atm with no ph down and a ec of 1.0 hopefully this will bring the ph up at the root zone.
As you can see from the pics the plants are suffering for this reason.
I also checked for root rot but can see no signs of it or smell it. The roots are definitely not as massed as i would like.

The photoperiods are looking really nice and healthy , hopefully you will be in for a treat mate. What were the photoperiods? I am confused now ..sorry.

Hello bulls i am using Rhizo on the auto's same as the Blue cheese by barneys what are the photoperiods. I am going to swap to root excelurator by house and garden,. I know it works well in soil so guessing it will in coco.

I am currently using Root stimulant from Plant Magic and I am seeing better results than rhizotonic. Be nice to see you running something else so e have a choice.

Sorry to hear about the ph issues K. I had a thought about coco, obviously im a complete nooooob. Its come from the GLP that i transplanted into coco. When we flushed the coco the PH took over a week to get back to where we wanted it, my ph was over 7 in background. What do you think about setting the last 3rd of flush water to the correct PH, and would that possible help you get it back to where it needs to be. Sorry if its a dumb ass question lol.

When we flushed the coco the PH took over a week to get back to where we wanted it, my ph was over 7 in background. Do not know how i missed this K. This is actually not a silly question at all, in fact it is a good question and many coco growers most likely differ in opinion. There are those that flush from the tap and those that allow it to stand also those that flush with a mild solution of nutrients phed.
So here is my take on it, many might agree many might not.
1. Flushing from the tap is a big no for me. This is mainly because of the tap water temperature, you have been feeding your plants with a water temp of around 18-22c what is great for coco. Then suddenly you put 3 x your pot size of water through your plants that will be this time of year below 10c, the chance of shocking them is to great in my opinion. that could lead to a total slow in growth for how long i guess depends on how hardy the strain you are growing is.
2. Plain water allowed to stand. Not so much shock with this one as long as allowed to get to room temperature, plus we know it helps to remove the chlorine. One thing it does not do is keep your PH in balance as you have already pointed out.
3. A mild solution of nutrients. This by far the best way to flush your plants in coco you only need to be .1-.2 above your background EC. Why should you do this ? the nutrients designed for coco actually help keep the ph balanced. Hence avoiding the big swing in ph and time to get it back to normal.
I am not a lover of flushing, i would rather veg for longer to get them right before flipping, unfortunately with Auto's your on the clock.

Great info there thank you K. It always come into my head when i see guys flushing straight from tap especially if the flush was to sort a serious issue. I always thought if a plant had locked out or was suffering some sort of ph/root issue isnt going to be helped by a huge flush of high or low ph.
