What you're saying makes total sense honestly, I might actually have to add one more pump by the time I harvest. Once the rez fills up with roots it's going to be covering up the air stones quite a bit, which I'm guessing might reduce the oxygen

lol you should be able to get it where you are mate. you can make your own but it takes a few weeks. I know others do, but I had drama adding GWS to my res. I think that the microbes may have exploded in numbers reducing my available oxygen and making environmental conditions more suitable for pathogens. Not totally sure though, did some chin scratching over that I did. Your running a lot more oxygen than I was though I think.

It shouldnt reduce the oxygen mate. Not sure how many stone your running but I like a couple of the 5inch disc ones. I was pumping 60ltr a minute oxygen to mne in 60ltr res. From the experience I had trying to run organics in mine id say you best off just doing a straight simple grow, just nutes and root stym, play later when your comfortable.

I mean technically it's not organic unless I'm actually putting organic nutrients in it right? Or would you consider microbes organic? Just wondering, you know more than me
For the record I'm only using the microbes, calmag and ionic nutrients

Yeahi would consider the microbes as organic. Technically you should be gold. The gws is designed for hydro. Like I said mte im still scratching my chin over it. I did have runs where i was adding other organics to my res but for the most part was using same as you, ionic, calmag and gws. So the brown isnt from a root stimulant then unless its the GWS. Cant really help you mate, just know i had same dramas as youve had so far. My next one I wont use GWS, just Ionic,calmag, pk and maybe silicon. Maybe drop the GWS and see what that looks like. It is looking suspicious, but as you say no slime no smell, so maybe a panic bout nothing, but I like to pre empt drama.

Pretty sure this is what has been staining the roots, along with the recharge which also turns the water brown because it has powdered molasses in it. Just my guess though

Lol its all in the details mate, makes sense now, molasses would stain em for sure. Fairly sure both those products would come under organics mate.

That's weird man, I don't know why you would have had any problems. Only thing I can think of is the obvious stuff, like light getting into the res or not enough circulation / oxygen

The main thing is mate , its been noted and thought about and you have a plan of action if it goes wrong. Not thinking ahead is when ya really come unstuck. May as well just drink the chlorine lool.
