Hi folks,

Last night I prepared the coco/perlite mix for these girls which entailed adding biotabs starter mix and some mycorizal fungus

The seeds are well away, one hadn't made much progress so I gave it a lil squeeze to pop it and within an hour it has tongue out as well

So tomorrow I'll get them potted and we will be off

Thanks for following

I tried the same thing in the past and ended up with a mush of seed in my fingers. A gentle touch is definitely needed

Hi all,

These have gone into medium today under 73w of a invisible sun 250w kit dimmed fully

They were roaring to start growing so once there is something to see I'll get new pics up

So all 5 have popped above ground

2 came out with mushy tops, one looks to be recovering but I think the other is a goner. 4/5 atm

Kinda undeveloped infant leaves that aren't strong enough to break the embryonic sack and the tops turn to mush

Normally if I spot it I can gently peel it off and that's how I saved one but the other I wouldn't dare touch it's that far gone

This often happens when you have not quiet planted the seeds deep enough mo. If it happens just keep misting the seedling or get a pipette and place a few drops of water on it (has to be done frequently) the seed shell will soften and fall off. If not it might need abit of human intervention.

If the Embryo is sticking the cotyledons together so they do not open misting will help do the same as if the shell was stuck . Interesting why were the shells off before planting?
