Re: Josh's Dwc
Day 13 flower
Quick update, did a rez change tonight and I upped the ec to 1.4. Little high in my oppinion, but it dropped from 1.3 to 1.2 over the course of a couple days along with plenty of water so apparently she's asking for more nutes. Gonna watch closely the next couple days, if the tips of the fan leaves show any signs of nute burn I'll dilute with plain water
For 68 L of water
34mL calmag
36mL silicate
180 mL humic acid
At this point water was .8 EC, so added ionic bloom until 1.4
20 mL orca applied to roots
1/8 tsp recharge mixed with 8 oz water, poured over base of plant
Ph steady at 5.8

Re: Josh's Dwc
Flat as a pancake that canopy Josh. Very nice mate. If they are eating that much already it's normally a good omen of a good flower.

Re: Josh's Dwc
So learning something new every day, thought I'd share with you all. Was having an issue with ph dropping instead of rising after I switched to flower, which can be 3 things. 2 of them very bad, lol.
1. Nutrient concentration too high
I think this is it, because my ec is steady at 1.4 but water is dropping and so is ph. So I think she's not feeding as much as before.
2. Pythium
No sign of it, plus my water is constantly chilled. But there's still a possibility.
3. Algae caused by light leak.
Seriously doubt it because no sign of algae plus I went to great lengths to block out light.
So after my ph drops down to 5.6-5.7 which should be by tonight, I'll add enough tap water to drop the ec back to 1.3 and it should raise the ph back to 5.8 ish hopefully. If the ph keeps dropping after that I'll nuke the whole reservoir with peroxide
She looks really healthy though, no complaints there. Just trying to stay on top of things before problems arise. I'll post some pics in a couple hours just before lights on
Here's a chart I thought you all would like, it's really helped me out over the last couple months

Re: Josh's Dwc
Update
EC stable at 1.4 and ph stable at 5.9 for almost 12 hours now, might be good to go
I'll leave it alone for now
Maybe the bump from 1.3 to 1.4 took her a little time to adjust to. Foliage looks great also, no sign of burning

Re: Josh's Dwc
Day 17 flower
Hey everyone, hope all is going well. Decided I'd do a detailed update since I have the time.
I think 1.4 EC is spot on, leaves look nice and healthy and the ph has been steady at 6.0 for a couple days now. She's drinking water like crazy but since I change the rez out every week topping off isn't necessary. Really glad I went with a massive reservoir
Decided to go the heavy defoliation route instead of lollipopping. Used this technique on my first single plant scrog and had fantastic results, even the bud sites near the bottom of the screen were rock hard.
Due to the fact that I have so many tops it's almost necessary anyways. Nothing worse than getting bud rot
Only happened to me once but hopefully never again (fingers crossed)
Air flow throughout the canopy is greatly increased, and removing a lot of leaves also seems to help control stretch in my oppinion.
She's about as tall as I want her, stretch should almost be over though.
I'll be adding another monkey fan in a couple weeks when the buds really start stacking up. I'll also be running my dehumidifier when lights are out. RH is 70-80% at lights out right now
Here's some pics after her haircut

Re: Josh's Dwc
Lol, ya it does look a bit extreme. She'll bounce back pretty quick though
