Day 7 of 13/11

scrog: 1.4m x 1.3m
Lighting: 650 mh
Nutrients: 25ml canna A&B, 12ml PK, 15ml Calmag in 30ltrs
Temps: avg 28c
RH: 70%

Everything is fairly bang on. I got an extra fan in there blowin up a storm as Bulls says. Much less perspiration now and its made a big difference to the look of the plants, they are very happy now and more robust for the extra air movement. Got a 6 inch intake in there and made an acoustic box for my 8inch. Very happy with that box, all i can hear now is a slight hum caused by the controller. I have a pedestal fan outside the tent now as well moving the air about the garage. The garage is about 25mtres long and 4 mtres wide with a big metal door one end that gets pounded by the sun. The cracks around this door are all the ventilation i get in there, so the fan has made a huge difference. Ive dropped a good few degrees in the groom. I have noticed that although parabolic shades are tops, I feel it would be better suited to a 1.2m tent, for even spread id be better off with two shades in there as its hard to keep the centre from bolting away from the growth on the edges. I squeezed my old cool hood in there and banged a 250 in it this morning. Thats 650 watts of MH in there now so I hope it wont get too warm, I will know tonight if i can leave it like this. Sadface has these plants in top health and the training is going well, although I cant wait for it to be over , very time consuming it is. Im running a dehumidifier at lights out seems a few growers feel rh effects stretch. Lights on and off temps are about the same. Started the PK at day 4. So this is my third grow using stem pinching to control stretch, big up to Sadface on that trick, it could possibly be the most useful trik ive learned since joining forums. The first time I used it was already halfway through stretch and the result was good but the second time I was onto it much sooner and the results were awesome. This time im all over it so ive included a few pics. We are about 5inches now fairly even across the scrog so im pretty confident to get between 10 and 12 inch colas which will be bang on what we are aiming for. An added advantage to stem pinching is it send your stems to hard wood in a couple of days so as the colas grow they are very strong, highly unlikely they will try and fall over later. It also means that my buds are gunna start at the very top of the screen rather than growing wasted stem down low. I pinched under the screen as well to be sure they didnt stretch below and up through if that makes sense. Think thats about it, cheers for stopping by. Ohh the cuts I took are rooted, took 6 days.

Cheers Bulls, yeah not sure why I havent seen that stem pinching in flower any where in threads. Day 10 today and pistils are showing, soo I might just pull it off at the right height. Cheers for stopping by mate appreciate it.

Cheers BG, working my gutz out here, Im pleased , think i might try and run 2 x 4000 next time. FFS mate why is it that ya think your happy with your setup, ya make one change an d realize its gunna cost ya more lol. I think my parabolic is 1m or 900mm, its the largest I could get any way. Wonder if i could modify 2 x parabolic s into one. Would it defeat the purpose of having a parabolic?

Cheers Keeno. Will be if i get em to flower mate. Last grow i went 12/12 and increased it after a few days to 13/11 by the end of the first week. This time round Ive gone straight to 13/11 and they are very slow to flower. Banged it back to 12/12 today. 13/11 works well but I think they really turn faster given a bit more 12/12.

Funny you say that, my last i went 12/12 but normally run em 13/11, i wanted to trial 14/10. I did notice a slight delay in the flower on the exo over last grow in this one, as its a clone it was a good test of this theory and it defo was slower.

Good to know mate. want to try 14/10 as well, but best 12/12 first im thinking. I cant do it this grow because im already gunna struggle with temps, and Sad face wouldnt be keen i rekon lol. Out doors they strat to flower and flower in 14/10 easily, but they are a fair bit slower to come to full flower as well. On my last grow I had 2 stragglers that went into the flower tent 2 weeks behind the others and so they were straight to 13/11 and they were slow as well, I may have documented that in my diary. I did read they are supposd to finish quiker on more light but my last ones were a 7-9 week strain that went almost 14 to be full term. I rekon turning the light cycle back down near the end of flower is probably a good idea as well. Or we could do what the blokes reading this and shaking their heads do and go 12/12 hahaha. No fun in that though is there mate

Fantastic show Hobbit. R/H is a little high swapping the bulb to hps flower spectrum should drop it during lights on. Do you have a plan in place for controlling R/H lights off?
