Yes deffinately, forget the coconut water, way over priced and over rated. Leave that for the trends setters. Banana skins cucumber skins and potato skins are gold get as much together as you can , dry them out and burn them, now we have a real treat going on. are you interested in making your own ferts?

Lol not any more you dont. you be getting microbes that way but not the ones we want. Apart from a coupe of dollars in molasses home made ferts are free.

yes any compost is good. in relation to the skins, we dont want the bannan for this just the skins, we want em to dry out, then we will burn them. I suggest you read my organics thread, I sent yo a link i believe. And as long as you have a bottle of molasses I will teach you how to garden for free mostly. I do charge $55 per hour so that will be your only upfront cost lol.

Going to Bunninings today to get potassium sulphate. I hope they sell it.
Hobbit wrote:Ok so as I suspected its not the right NPK for most vegetables we commonly grow. We can use it but get yourself a bag of potassium sulphate. Oioi Dont forget thaat thanks button Aqua, a bling whore I am. Also if you quote me when you reply makes it easier for me to keep track of you. I turned half the notification alerts off here as they were doing my head in. Also try and answer all the questions I ask, so I dont gotta repeat myself, still waiting on answers from above.

Thats the one. go ahead and use it on your flowering plant. Off top of my head I think its about 10grm m2 so go easy. The sulphur content will help lower the ph as well. I like to use things in sulphate form for this reason. Depending on budget iron sulphate is something I use often as well. Another thing i forgot to mention is keep your egg shells as we will burn those. If you have a place for it and can afford get some comfrey growing we will use it in fertilizer. Have a look at a diy worm farm if you can. I imagine your community garden has composting worms, ask em for a handful to get you started.
