So I've dropped EC back to around 1.4 now which is A&B and PK boost. Plants are really frosting up good style at 37 days in bloom, but as for bud sizing hmmm im far from convinced, maybe its cus i dont use LED all time and more a bit of that im used to big fatties from a HPS bulbs, but yes time will tell on that score, theirs still 20+ days on these yet so no sweat.

nice pics jimmi,im sure they will plump up some soon and yes the led growing is different and it has took me several runs over the last couple of years to retire the hps,still there ready.

Yes Duke im just doing the LED thing during Simmer and HPS in Winter thing from here on in, so likely 2 grows with each a year, works for me. But yes i know they're never gonna be HPS bud size when growing with LED, but for sure they will fill out quite a bit still. Cheers mate.

I was just looking through my last grow with these under 400 hps for a bit of a comparison and man theirs a big difference. So i thought id post pics up for ya`s to check out. A real size difference, which is pretty standard stuff, but i thought it an interesting comparison with same plants.

I think resin production is higher in LED vs HPS. Someone told me on here I think. With LED I've grown some monster buds even when I had the same issues during flowering.

Yes i here ya, i mean fuck knows if theirs any truth to that "more resin production with LED" but for sure you have full spectrum of colours more less blazing down on plants unlike with HPS its just red spec in bloom. But yes im a big believer in that as well, even when i run with HPS i run an 100 watter LED by its side turned right down on low, just for that full colour spectrum on plants. I did ask someone once and they said nah man they didn't think so, but im of thinking full colour spec has to be better for them to thrive than just one colour.

Yes i too have had some mahoosive buds running just cree cobs LED. Tbh i think a lot can be strain related and by no means are these big yielders imo, i mean i got about 9oz last grow with 400watter HPS but in that space, but with some really big yielders I've hit around 17oz, generally i always get around 12oz with not so big yielders and i always treat plants similar when im training them more or less. But personally speaking just from my own experiences of mixing lights up a bit im defo with you on that one.

When im back from my golfing beano in August im gonna bang in some big ass yielders that grow spear like buds me thinks

There's a big difference for sure mr scoops , what I've noticed in my limited led experience is less is more if I try to keep the light as close as possible as you would with hps for example the buds don't seem to swell that big but when I keep them high up the plants seem much happier and they behave a bit better . On my last auto grow in my 2x4 I used 2 panels and the most I had them on was 100 watts each and that was only for about 4 weeks and 14 inches above the plants and the buds were great not dense really but frosty and Terpy and got 13 ounces. When I've put the panel on full and 12 inches it produces loads of frost but not much weight . Just my limited knowledge of course but something worth looking at . There's loads of time yet of course and I'm sure they will swell up .Good luck with the rest of the grow mate .

I've got 340watts blazing on them set around 15inches now, plants look happy as Larry, so im happy enough with that. Maybe ill raise lights right up one day then again i doubt it, set at 15inch is ample enough for that wattage me thinks though . Cheers bud
