I picked up a pack of Brandon‘s TK x TK x NL5 x Lime1. Brandon seems like a hard-working guy and gives his time on the cheap homegrow podcast. I thought, for $50, this cross was a bargain. Brandon is a wizard of cannabis.
This pack was $150 and I have others too. Prices didn’t stay the same they gradually increased.
I went on to grow several other strains on this forum. And I must have got over a dozen seeds on that first pack. And I kept a TK for a long time. But the hunt was now on. But I couldn’t tell you what I was hunting for.
TKxTKxNL5xLime1
PK/MK Ultra x Lime1
GG4RBx x Lime1
Blueberry TrainMac
Blacklight
Starfighter x GAS
First of all, every creation of his is dank. But that certainly doesn’t mean you’re going to keep them around. And yeah, some of them even herm’d. I also had plenty of shit grows where I was screwing around with too many variables: soil, blue mats, amendments, soil tests.
Second, the grower needs to know what TF he/she is doing. I did not. I still don’t, but going through those six strains taught me a lot about the process. By the time I was into the Starfighter, it was a breeze. Even though it ended up pollinated.
Starfighter before chop.
Finally, it has been a fun hunt and I would recommend following any breeder and doing the same. I like Bodhi. But I like buying some of his hash plant crosses of world famous clone only strains and trying them out for myself. But even he has trouble keeping up with all the hype as he is releasing NFT beans
In the end, I didn’t find anything worth keeping for an extended time. It’s hard to beat a monstrous AK Bean brains NL5. Purest weed I ever tried. I just wish it would have been a little more hard-nug in finished product.
