Week 4
# of plants = 3 (2x coco, 1x nft)

Formulex = 1ml/L
calmag = 1ml/L
Foliar = 1ml/L

Background E.C = 0.5 (3 stage filter)
P.H = 5.8
ec = 0.9

Light = Invisible Sun V bar (150w) @25% (37w)

4 Weeks in now and there is a definite difference between the two methods.
One thing I think helped give the nft a boost was how easy it is to just drop the cube into the tank with no stress. The coco ones took a while to start growing again after transplanting so must have gotten a little stressed, the coco ones are growing now though.
All 3 plants are still drinking from the same bottle at the moment so saved me a lot of hassle not mixing up two lots of nutes

Here's the nft
Image

she's got 5-6 nodes now and the stem has put on weight.

Here are the roots

And now for the two coco, hard to see in the photos but top down the nft one is a reasonable amount bigger

The stem is skinny and much less nodes than the nft one

Next week ill probably top the nft and strip her bare while the coco ones catch up

I dont care which wins as long as it's coco...

:coco:
I really want the coco to do well, in fact I will run this experiment again but next time put the seed/clone direct into 16L pots to try avoid transplant shock. I was gentle with them but defo stopped growing for a few days whereas nft just kept growing

Week 5
# of plants = 3 (2x coco, 1x nft)

Formulex = 1ml/L
Fulvic = 0.8ml/L
Rootstim = 0.8ml/L

Background E.C = 0.5 (3 stage filter)
P.H = 5.8
ec = 0.7

Light = Invisible Sun V bar (150w) @40% (96w)

So for the first part of the week i was lazy and didnt check the ph in the nft tank, when I finally checked it the ph had risen to 7 lol.
Totally forgot what it was like running an airstone, you literally have to check and make changes to ph every day with an airstone in nft. Needless to say im on top of it now though.

Thats enough chit chat lets get to the reason we are here, Its not been very clear from the pictures so far how much difference there is, so I’ve employed bully to help.

You can't beat a bit of Bully!
Here's the NFT
Image

Super, smashing, great.
Took her fans off to let the light in, will top her this week as well.
Image

Let's have a look at what you could have won.
Image

Sorry coco you win nothing but your bus fare home, half the size of the NFT one, I thought it seemed like there was a huge difference when I transitioned over to coco but seeing it in front of my eyes like this is something else.
