This is also a coco vs nft experiment I want to try. For a while ive been feeling like coco is really slow compared to nft so I want to see how much difference there is in it.
I like to start things of on formulex but when they are a little bigger they will be fed the vitalink range of nutrients. Feed schedule will look something like this for coco



and something like this for nft



Notice how it's all the same except for the a+b which changes a little. of course the numbers on the chart are way too high and I probably won't go much over 1ml/L a+b in veg and probably 0.8ml/L of other stuff.

Anyways gave them a soak for 24 hours until the shell had split and then into root riot cubes, normally I wouldn't bother using root riot in coco but gonna keep them all the same for the sake of science. They popped up today anyway.



The coco is re used from a previous grow, its been rinsed out, fed with formulex and some calmag, rock wool cube has had the same treatment.


I'll give them a couple of weeks like this and see what happens, then I'll get them two potted into 16L pots of coco and the other one fitted to the nft tank. Can't wait to see nft under led, im expecting good things. They will have probably 10 weeks veg while im flowering Raspberry ZkittleZ

Thanks for looking in @Keeno, it was nov 2021 that my last nft grow came to an end and I been doing coco since, will be nice to go back to nft after a year.
Can't wait to see how the two methods grow off against each other as well.

These are well lanky, I had to turn the light up to try and stop them stretching.

Good idea, not sure if ive got a spare fan though, seems to have slowed down a bit more now the first set of leaves have shown

Im expecting a massive difference at the end but who knows, only one way to fond out isn’t there.
