coffee gounds

Post by Greenfingers »

Do any of you add coffee grounds to your soil mix?

What quantities do you add to your soil mix?

The white fungus that appears after a week or so is harmless so I've read :idn:
Also, the grounds i'll be using are decaf.

no need worry about decaf mate, the brewing process takes out most of it as well as the acidity

i use coffee ground and egg shell mixed together about 5 parts coffee to 1 part egg shell then put a handful as a top dress on the top of pots. i havent incorporated it into a soil mix besides as G13 mentions. I use alot of spent coffee grounds to feed my worms and use the casting to make a soil mix

Ive never directly mixed it in the soil but I do compost them and feed my worms with them.
