They certainly do. I done a side by side 600w HPS v 480w Invisible Sun, it was my old faithful parabolic, I expected the HPS to destroy the LED... I was wrong, quality, health, yield, the LED destroyed the HPS.

The aim if this grow is to see if the 300w over 4 x 4ft area can compete with 720w again, the 650w is also in the mix. I can tell already by handling the buds and harvest, there's not much difference between the 3.

Pretty much the same as me when I made the leap. I wasn't sure but thought fuck it if you don't try then you'll never know and never looked back. So glad I did invest as running a sodium after the latest leccy price rise would far too expensive for me.

Totally agree mate. With the ultra efficient systems like the X Bars I've tested I'm confident I could run a 1.2 x 1.2m area at 300w or a 1.5 x 1.5m area at 450w and compete with the 500w hid needed for 1.2 x 1.2, or 1000w for 1.5 x 1.5m. Even modern led would need 480w for 1.2 x 1 2, or 720w for 1.5 x 1.5. I can see more and more jumping ghe x bar type setups now.

Try and do another one like that before October, then scale back.

Running costs are insane mate. I've got the seeds s5aeted but will have to see.i can see this being more about running as dimmed as possible until I can further upgrade to all x bars.

Fair play mate @Keeno you've definitely smashed it in there. Looks like a nice big yield after my next run I think I definitely need to have a go with coco, the difference looks ridiculous. Got my own session locked away in the loft coming up at the weekend don't think I'm gonna come close to that though lol

Cheers mate. LED and coco go hand in hand in my opinion. If you can adjust feed quickly it allows you to tide a high feed. Growing under LED can really make use of higher feed. You can effectively force the plants yo take the extra light with higher feed. More light, more feed, adds to nore yield. The quality under led is already better so its a win win. Soil growing is all good and has benefits coco doesn't, but you cannot change feed or the amounts over night in the same way as you can in coco.

Thanks Mafoo. I'm using a bowl trimmer, still took ages. I've got my eye on the tumble style electric ones but the cost of them is insane atm.

I think they would defo pass the caotains donk test. It's a beautiful strain to grow thats for sure.
