RO water strips your body of vital minerals and salts. Bit like when you drink too much and use that fizzy shite in your drink to replace the fluids lost by boffing up all night lol.....
Respectfully, is there any conclusive scientific evidence? There appear to be as many articles refuting the claim as there are supporting it. A lot of the supporting claims appear to be based on the WHO paper. My wife and I had been drinking RO water for about 10 years not knowing this, but are both healthy and don’t feel much different now to how we did 10 years ago, hence me questioning it. I’ve not noticed any difference with my plants either since eliminating the RO stage and only using a single stage coconut filter – they still look as shit as ever!
This is probably the most informative thing I’ve found so far with references to various articles, including the WHO and WQA ones:

Regardless, better safe than sorry, so best to remineralise RO, but it is wasteful and unsustainable in this age of impending water scarcity. Would a coconut filter without RO on a low flow rate be unsuitable? I’m fortunate that our provider has the cleanest water in UK and appreciate some of you may not be so fortunate, so maybe there is a need for RO in some areas.
I use only this now:
