Leccy is no joke anymore. Its getting to the point of is it worth the cosy for anything that's uneeded. I'll certainly be looking at how to reduce all running costs.Paul_led wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 11:48 pmCheers mate , been a bit on the fence because of the electric price but when ya think about grow your own or pay silly money for average street weed …… it makes no sense not growing lol

Re: All aboard the auto express
Leccy is no joke , my monthly direct debit is currently at £375 and that’s before I even put the grow tent back on :-(
I guess the hot tub is costing around £7 a day on its own ffs
I am trying to figure out what lights I wanna see this grow through with , currently using a 240w led panel . And I have an array of lights at my disposal , got the telos 10 that’s about 340w got 2 longer quauntum boards that are 350w each. And 2 of the small square lights I won on this forum
I’m thinking veg under the 240 then into the bigger tent and do various timers with all the lights plugged in that take turns to come on so the full tent gets some light ?
Or I just go with the 2 longer quantum boards and swallow the leccy hit

You wait until street weed goes up though.
Everything will fluctuate accordingly. So we'll all be back on the same par eventually anyway
Just a thought.
You'll soon smash some lovely buds out again.

Re: All aboard the auto express
BUT ……. Will the price of shitty street weed go up ? When the majority of the mass growing scummers steel the electric anyways ?
I have no idea what the price of weed is cause if I ain’t growing my own I go without , not bought any in years lol
It does help having a mate or 2 also growing , you can pomp out your trimming service for some smoke lol

Re: All aboard the auto express
Bit of an update boys and girls ,
I’m getting back into the swing after having 5 months time out from growing ,
The bottom left is the sweet seeds trainwreck auto , the rest are jeorges diamond #1
Being on 2ml / l of a and b and 4ml per l of rhizotonic for a week and I think we will all agree they are now flying
Upped the feed to full strength today to 4ml per l of a and b. And noticed today roots have made it to the bottom of 2 of the 4 auto pot plant pots so it’s time to sort out the garage so I can get them in their final home in the flowering tent ,

I guess now things are moving forward I may update twice a week I’m gonna leave the train wreck to grow naturally but will tie down and lst the photos and then most lightly net and double net them

Re: All aboard the auto express
So guys , been in my flowering tent this evening to try figure out what lights to hang up for best light spread and most efficient with leccy prices
I have 2 x 350w quantum led panels which I think of hung side by side should give loads of light spread BUT …… I am running 6” fan and filter which is strapped to the top bars , like ya do . Which is stopping the lights hanging nicely where I would want them ,
Question is white running led panels and there’s not masses of heat rising. Could I stand the filter on the floor in the corner and have the passive inlet at the top at opposite side of the tent ?
This would allow me to place the 2 panels equally with the fan and filter and ducting out the way

Only thing I'd be thinking, as the stomata on leaves breath the oxygen goes up and gets pumped out from top usually. Co2 is usually found further up anyway isn't it...? Bit like when its hard to breath climbing a mountain
Makes me think this would be a better way...

Re: All aboard the auto express
Simple answer is: rule of thumb is 50cm from the canopy unless the manufacturer suggests something else. You have to treat LEDs different to HPS due to having lots of little light sources as well as horticultural LEDs have a relatively narrow beam angle (around 120deg).Paul_led wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 10:01 pmSo guys , been in my flowering tent this evening to try figure out what lights to hang up for best light spread and most efficient with leccy prices

Accurate answer is: You can't be sure unless you have a PPFD meter. You can pick them up for about £200 and it will allow you to fine tune things to match the parameters of your room. I just bought one asy leccy bill hurt more than a swift kick in the nuts this months
