London Velvet Cake by Conscious Genetics

Hello gr420 community and welcome to a grow diary of London Velvet Cake by Conscious Genetics acquired from the points store here at gr420. Special thanks to @Green Dragon for the opportunity to grow this strain and getting it safely across the pond. Across the internet, there is no information, yet, for this cross. Only what has been posted by the admins here at the gr420 shop (i.e. thank you).

London Velvet Cake is Pink Champagne Bx X Sour Apple Runtz with a flowering time of nine weeks. Other stats include: 20/80 Indica, Height: short/medium, Yield: average, Sex: feminized, Pack size: 5.

Since these are feminized, it’s a good opportunity to experiment with timing and transplanting. We’ll germinate in rapid rooters (after an overnight soak in water) and after a week, transplant to a clone cup. Literally, about a cup of soil. After four weeks, we’ll transplant to one gallon pots. Then, for another 4-6 weeks the one gal pots will be home. Final transplant to a 10 gal pot is next with a four week veg time. Overall, 13-15 weeks to go from seed to flower.

Home is organic soil, tested by Logan Labs, and balanced based off the recommendations provided by the lab. RO water, treated with a mineralizer, will be used in both veg (by hand) and flower (blu-mat troph). Occasionally, aminos, microbes, or gypsum will be foliar sprayed in veg and very early flower. Microbes, Plant Success, or Recharge will be used as soil drench weekly in flower.

These seeds will be germinated under a CLW SolarSystem 550, 40% power in my 18/6 veg area. Once seed stock are ready for flower, they will begin their cycle in a 2X4 tent under a CLW SolarSystem 550 at 50% power (200W). At D21, I begin increasing the power 10% every 2-3 days until 100% is reached.

Two seeds in rapid rooters covered with a Ziploc baggie. Had to rehydrate the rapid rooters with water. Any issues, we’ll get some new rooters and try again. Nothing to report yet for these two though.

Two sprouts for a 100% germination rate – nice job Conscious Genetics! Removed dome, next is transplant to clone cup in bout a week.

Had to do it, needed the base unit to hold more rapid rooters for a different popping session. These LVC will spend the next 4-6 weeks in these small clone cups.
