Wow nice big plants in the ground. So how far North are you, what is the weather/climate like? How long is the outdoor season? Here, across the pond, we have sub 20C resulting in 90+ RH.

hi mustang i did try a few clones of autos a couple of years ago and maybe i did something wrong idk but they did root but even under 20/4 light they just stayed small and only grew into single cola midgets, that was some of the early lowryder crosses,so may i ask what sort of success rate and how and roughly at what age you clone them? good luck btw im subbed for the ride, peace :thanks:

i get roots but they still single cola midgets same as you. i'm cloning for fun, cloning to increase yield will only disappoint with auto's i've found. if you trying to get most from auto clones i'd take from bottom of plant early, day 14 (2weeks) , but still you getting tiny clones and single cola midgets.

i do think topping my autos increases yield. i top 14-20 days at 4th node then week later i do some slight LST and deflower as needed.

the auto's will never fill a big pot with roots , 15 litre is enough. I'm just cloning and filling the big pots with clones for fun, my buddy says you can't grow more than one weed plant a pot and you can't clone autos. so i do it because he says you can't and i get to laugh at him.

i'm 100 miles north of toronto on georgian bay in ontario. the autos will be ready august, the photo's i'll will be late sept and some late october. we start to get frost early november(sometime late oct), 3 frost usually kills the plants(they can handle 1-2). i usually plant 2nd week of june because sometimes you get frost late may or 1st week of june, one frost on new clones and you a hermie farmer. i've traded clones as late as 2nd week of july and they still grow 5-6 feet tall at harvest time. plants usually start flowering 2-3rd week of august.

summer = temps around 25c to 30c and 65-80 humidity depending on summer, then winter and into my basement and i fight to get 40-50 humidity and because everything freezes.

double dip cloning, don't usually bother and just use the gell. by friends swears by double dipping.

single dip one in cloning gel ( my fav) and other 2 i double dip, see if it matters or roots come faster.

humidity dome, heated mats, and spray bottle.

Those huge plants behind the trellis are only a month old? Hard to believe. Issue here is not so much frost, but wind rain and lack of light on top of the cool weather that limits any growing season. Even for lettuce one has to look for winter varieties. I wouldn't risk an October harvest, other fruit one can still harvest with spots in leaves, as the flowers are formed much earlier than harvest time.
