Let them grow into light a bit as well now if plants aren`t effected with no light type shit effecting them, then yes let plants grow right into them before resetting height of lights, maybe right down to as much as 12 inches, but aim at setting lights around 15 inches now they`re in bloom when you reset them. Simplified if it`s all good "don`t reset lights till its about 12-13 inches above plants and if plants look good at that then reset to 15 inches and so on and on and on..........Peeps opinions may differ but light depreciates shed loads with inches and im a great believer of "more light = more bud" come harvest.
If things are going good go with.................
18inch to 15inch for vegging (fair sized plants with plenty of rootage a bit higher for young seedlings.)
15inch to 12inch for bloom
Get a fan blowing across the tops of the canopy and below light straight as a die horizontally , so inbetween light and canopy horizontally, this will help spread heat around the room more evenly and hopefully prevent hotspots.
