WELL! Things have changed due to the fecking heatwave! I am binning one HPS in favour of 2x 250w quantum board LED systems - if they work well I will get 2-3 more! Guess time will tell.... and this diary too! Grab a pew, lets see where this leads!

LED is 3000k - being posted on Weds the bloke said. Not ideal for veg I dont think but time will tell. I cant cope with the heat from 2 HPS atm with the high ambient temps but I am hopeful I can manage with 1 :)

Some details on the boards I bought. These are stock photos from the supplier. I ordered 2 of the units pictured. They CLAIM 2x250w is equal to a 1000w SE HPS. Here is the specs from the website as well.

Specs

Each ISH250w kit will cover up to 9 square feet in flower, this means you will require

1 kit for 3ftx3ft / 90cmx90cm space or 2ftx4ft / 60cmx120cm space

2 kits for a 4ftx4ft / 1.2mx1.2m space

3/4 kits for a 5ftx5ft / 1.5mx1.5m space

5/6 kits for 6.6ftx6.6ft / 2mx2m space

2 kits are equal to a 1000w single ended Gavita.

Lamp efficacy with s6 flux bin 2.59 umol/J, 179Lm/w

Board level efficacy with s6 flux 2.72 umol/J

Currently Available in 3000k

I should also add, on other sellers pages they claim 3 kits are equivalent to a 1000w DE HPS. Now... I ran both my 1000W DE's at 825W due to heat so I would think 2 is equivalent give or take. IF these can replace the 825w running at 500w ( dim-able which will also save money during early stages ) with little to no heat... I will be amazed :)
