Topping auto flowers
Hey, I was wondering if it’s good to top an auto flower? So it’s doesn’t grow as tall and possibly more buds from doing so? I’v recently moved my grow room to a smaller more concealed space so I’m def going to be doin LST on them but unsure on topping them. The strain is northern lights auto
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Topping auto flowers
Congrats on the NL its my favorite strain. With autos i only top once around 4th node as autos dont have as much recovery time.

Re: Topping auto flowers
Yes althiough ive not grown autos im a fan of topping or just nipping out top when they are really young plants these days, plants ive grown it certainly doesnt slow them down from growing too long, were talking hardly at all. Then again topping them when a wee bit older it hardly slows them down. Theirs good and bad stressing of plants and topping it`s what i call good stress on plant lol

Re: Topping auto flowers
I have grown autos before to a usually shitty standard. I just can't get on with them. However some advice I got a while ago from an amazing auto grower was 'treat them like any other plant during the veg phase' including topping etc. .so there's my input

Re: Topping auto flowers
I've topped many autos, only a handful didnt like it the others seemed fine with it.
A single topping and LST is my preferred method for autos

Re: Topping auto flowers
I top as soon as the 5th node shows so really on so it can recover before flowering starts
