Re: Billys big bubbling buds, with green qube and invisible sun.
well these are chugging along ok.
they are bushing out a bit now, there are first signs of pistils. widow looks like its overfed, but its not, feeds went from 1.2 down to 0.4 in a couple of days, so its eating well, despite the yellow leaf tips.
Criticals are ok too, apart from still having signs of claw. maybe i should change em out again?
temps are in the ball park now, thanks to me turning up the hps to 400 watts.
LEDs are too efficient at not heating up the room, so whats my choice?
plants widow, then one of the criticals

cheers for now.

Re: Billys big bubbling buds, with green qube and invisible sun.
no Jimmy i never use it myself. i dont need to , and it kills off the beneficial bacteria in hydro.
it would be quite good for cleaning out the system at the end of a grow, to disinfect it etc, but i wouldnt be using it during a grow to be honest.
i know Nanook uses it in NFT, but NFT is more prone to root issues.
i would say, if you got problems with the roots the n use it, but if not then dont.
i read up about it, it only stays in the water for like 24 hours or something, then it breaks down into H2o, im sure Marcus said something along these lines.

Re: Billys big bubbling buds, with green qube and invisible sun.
planted the autos in the big room yesterday. went in today and had to look twice at the variac temp guage, 49 degrees...whoops, i could hardly breath in there, it was honestly like a sauna, a hot one.........
the relay in the controller must have given up, causing the fans to cut out, so no intake, no extraction, just heat from lights, 5 no 600 watt lights...oooooftt
. my chiller was sitting at 32 degrees, boiling them alive.... so i have pulled the lot. the cubes they were in were really hot to the touch thats how bad iit was........
fuck my life

Re: Billys big bubbling buds, with green qube and invisible sun.
Found dosage mate 3.75 to 7.5ml to 10 liters, no root problems but im liking idea of it being a cheapo boost at pence per liter, tbh i can see it being a very decent boost too, also helping with uptake a bit more , a bit like bennies do i suppose but cheaper.bigbadbillybob wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 7:03 pmno Jimmy i never use it myself. i dont need to , and it kills off the beneficial bacteria in hydro.

turns out it was one of the built in safety features, an inline fuse went between the plug in and the relay, so the board was still showing as working. took a while to find it cos the outer cover was still intact, not a melty blob.....er.....like the last time...........better than a burnt down house i suppose....he says.....looking on the bright side..........
but all plants are landfill, the day old seedlings were fried like ive never seen before, but i suppose i wouldnt look too clever either, if my feet were immersed in boiling water while getting my head blow torched......
still 70 quids worth of seeds binned.....bummer
aye, you might as well give it a try Jimmy, nothing to lose eh?bigbadbillybob wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 9:39 amplanted the autos in the big room yesterday. went in today and had to look twice at the variac temp guage, 49 degrees...whoops, i could hardly breath in there, it was honestly like a sauna, a hot one.........
