I've just invested in a quantum board led, no fans just heat sinc so should run silently.

Maybe look into leds that use drivers led cree and cob. They the future mate

I am a HID user and don’t have problems with heat so will go back to that. I won the light in a comp by Kbag in the growroom so wanted to try it out as I’ve never used led’s but the noise is too much what with my extract and floor fan as well.
It will get used by some1 tho.

That's fair mate. I flower with HPS, but for the quality of light and reduction in wasted heat, led deffo have alot of potential

Apparently they quantum boards can produce 1.5-2g per watt as it's more efficient lighting

I've got a 120w 3000k that should arrive today and at the end of the month I'm looking into an additional 120w or 250w 3500k. Will give em a good run for their money and report back

Imo mixing hid and led will give best results but I haven't tested yet

Sorry ya didn't get a chance to really test out led. I'm sure you'll fine something that'll work better for ya mate

WOW do we struggle with heat - was 36 up there this week

Got 5 out of 5 for germ... and all have poked their heads out of the soil.
Can’t fekkin complain



And I just hung the LED up...


Fekkkkking hell, it’s LOUD even just with the grow switch on...
I think it’s a killer for me as my tent is in my bedroom.
I think the MH will go back on in the A.M.
I would love to try using this led but the noise is too much (I’ve had to promise the missus that it’s only on for 1 night as she thinks it’s too loud, and she could sleep through an earthquake )...If I had a separate groom then it would be used....
Soooooo.... look out for a comp at some point as I would love somebody else to have it that could make use of it, and we all love a comp, don’t we?
