Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Well it's been long enough for a dry weigh in and to put the winnings into cure:-

It certainly shrinks when it dries ;o) Wasn't quite ready for how much to be fair but all good:-

And some trim for playing around with later:-

Total = 165 grams + trim.
Not the best looking buds and doesn't have much of a smell unless messed with but means I don't have to buy street weed for a while and hopefully will last me long enough to bring in another harvest ;o)
Yay, for a 'kinda' successful first grow ;o)
Reason for the buds not being great are a couple of reasons I think (mostly being the heat).
All good at the GrowRoom420.

- Root Rot due to the high temps
- 8x RStrips only running dimmed due to the high temps
- Under feeding due to me reading the sensors as PPM and converting to EC when in fact the reading were actually in EC to start with. Yea I know, Dumb arse - meant I was under feeding by about a 3rd.
- Generally just the high temps as my averages where in the high 30's for most of the last couple of weeks.
- My overall lack of knowledge in both Hydroponics and growing in general.
All good at the GrowRoom420.

But what a ride, learnt some valuable lessons for next time and found an awesome community along the way.

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Been about 8 days mate, in the cupboard under the stairs hanging on the airing frame for my clothes lol, with a little PC fan for air movement. They seem about ready to go into cure as the majority of the stems 'snap' and the few that don't are nearly there and will aid the humidity. All the stems were mostly removed so should be good.
I have them little humidity control bags in the jars and I gotta say they kick arse, at first I thought you only used them to increase the humidity but apparently they also work at lowering it (as advertised - ok). I have humidity sensors in the jars as well of course - just no automated adjustments yet so have to open the jar manually for now ;o)

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
The humidity bags I will try as they are designed to control weed mate at that humidity level. The product is mainly for Cigars but they make a certain one '62' pretty much especially for curing weed from my research. Don't quote me dude but the fact that it is lowering the humidity and most reviews say use them to higher the humidity means I am in for the test.MrNice wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 1:00 amI thought those humidity control bags things tant ya weed never used them............ now on my 7th or 8th harvest still not hauling weight wiv these autos tho may have to switch to the big boy plants and keep an auto going on side for back up

As for the plant mate, as I have said to you before, yours was way better in terms of frosty bud, that you want to grow and smoke etc, fine mine was more in quantity, but more shit than good, I would swap one jar for your top bud mate. Just glad to finally be on a track to move away from buying it for so much money (I spend more money on weed than food) and to just enjoy the hobby of growing it mate.
I made many mistakes and learnt a lot from everyone here. Next time is gonna be better, but the one after that is gonna be the one I reckon ;o) All a learning curve after all and each plant is different so we have to learn the 'GAME'

Re: Minty Grow Diary - GR420 LED Grow Off
Not sure mate, the lights I have are 8 off the R-Strips from invisible Sun and the driver I have is a Mean well 480 watt but I had to run the lights on dimmed because of the heat issues. I would guess wattage would be between 240 and 320 watts but not sure. I did have a failed plant so dropped one light vertically.
