I'm sure I just saw a spidermite :) looking well Marcus. Greezy AF
Cheers GG, Trailer Park Boys kinda Greezy.

Yeah mites, they live in my tent.

They're predator mites. I pop a couple of sachets in every month. £1.50 a sachet and they get to live with me and eat any canna eating mites. :oik!:

Garden plants are riddled with mites so I'm going to drag them in the house one day, I'd rather be prepared with my mite army. (we're the good guys BTW)

You mean the little sachets with californicus mites in? I like those :) I've also used phytoseiulus persimilis. They're better at munching the mites but they're fussy little fuckers. Low humidity or temperatures and they're gone.

The roots and time have just compacted the soil Ticktok, It's just a lifeless looking slab of hard dirt now.

They're probably not getting as much oxygen as they need so are looking crap. I'll stick a stick in there a few times when they wake up for breakfast and see if I can dislodge a bit of it.

I only use 5L pots from week 2 till death, so my fault really. I need to get some bigger pots, but that means bigger plants and more chopping and I hate chop time. :oik!:

I am inclined to possibly addd a bit more perlite to the mix next time, or just make my own soil mix up. :idn: Last grow for a while anyway. :oik!:
Thanks Marcus. I do know what you mean, I have a clone in a 1ltr pot if batmix and it does seem to harden as it dries.

I find a wetting agent like yukka extract work really well to stop the soil compaction. I feel your pain though, I give my pots a slap about once in a while too.

I started to add more and more coco to every soil i made for aeration. I think my last mix (probably my best) was summat like:
30% coco
30% mushroom compost
20% perlite
10% worm castings.
Plus the usual handfuls of amendments.
Did cook for 2 months prior too.

I measure everything by eye so dont think thats gospel.
